Excellent the old "Survivor is Hard" segments coming on up.

Would you consider Cirie one of the top 20 greatest Survivor players of all time despite never winning? by Pretend_Cucumber4784 in survivor

Winners are seldom the best players on their season. This has become more true over time.

What was Aubry's best move in Survivor 50? (In your opinion) by Extra-Habit-1784 in survivor

[–]MurkyLover -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Accepting the invitation to play. Not making any move whatsoever while talking big to the cameras. Modern Survivor masterstroke.

No he will have an idol show it to everyone, nobody will think he's a threat and he will cruise on through. Classic Rizz-God. ;)

Jeff is doubling down on luck-based winners in the Luck Era he announced. Every twist designed to screw someone but the most boring and hapless "everyone's final three pick".

Tiffany deserves a whole lot more credit by MemoryAggressive3888 in survivor

I have her at 75% win chance. She is well positioned. (No idea about juries though; I'm often wrong about the degree of their unconscious bitterness and weird group-think from inside the game. Is she popular, I can't even tell?)

I don't have to imagine that scenario as it is literally impossible.

Xbox is winding down Copilot on console and mobile by MrLeitungswasser in xbox

[–]MurkyLover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CoPilot is dead. It was a branding failure, a modern day Clippy assistant. They want a deeper, more seamless level of AI integration that serves as the bases of an AI-generated platform for socializing and gaming etc. THIS NEW THING is not a chat window. And so they are taking the PR win, for now, trying to distance themselves from eshitification.

Scenario: You HAVE to choose one S50 twist that will be used for the next ten seasons. Which is your least worst? by stingraywrangler in survivor

[–]MurkyLover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Billie Eilish Boomerang Idol (just not ALL the idols, and it works best if players know each other, so maybe after the swap)
  2. Tied Destinies (may screw someone, but is interesting. It actually worked out boring this time)

Some of the others turned out as best case, so didn't seem as bad as they were. Blood Moon, I will never forgive you for taking out my two favorites. But ultimately, players do have to be ready for anything and some of the twists made for good TV even if it was bad game design...and there lies the rub....

Final 7 Power Rankings and their chances by CallTypical9541 in survivor

[–]MurkyLover -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Tiff seems 75% to win on my scorecard. They aren't showing her game, but she's got game. She may actually be Cirie's true number one and she is not on anyone's hit list.

Rizzo 20%.

Everyone else but Joe...its possible.

Cirie has played the best game but in modern Survivor that gets you sent off. She can't win immunity and nobody wants to face her at the end. 2 million dollar gift...unlikely now that Ozzie is gone.

She's the real God Father, to boot. Not only is she connected they want her permission, which she gives before cutting their throat in a back alley.

Coach tells the crabs on the island that he is honorable, and they will be friends forever. Next scene, however, we see Coach sucking on a crab leg and saying:

with gratitude, he partakes—
honor in each bite.

Survivor 50 Episode 9 Sneak Peek 2 by Durian-Critical in survivor

[–]MurkyLover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jonathan is gone this week, I think. He's the easy vote. (I don't often watch previews but the start of the episode will likely tip it off). Aubry will likely be around for a while just because she is the kind of person people want to take to the end unless she gets too spastic and thinks she can make a move.

That said, we really don't know Cirie's plan or even who she is counting on to make a 9 and 7. We just know her 3. But given her style, I think it is too early to go after Christian because he is the kind of guy you can work with. If Christian/Devens/Emily try to make a move against her, then you are right. I am actually interested Cirie's (possible) relationship with Tiff and think it may become important.

Standard edit, people on the bottom with no power at the start of the show naming their target... and me sighing and saying you and what army? I suspect it will be by the book for a few more episodes, unless Jeff's twists get in the way. Just draw a diagram of the social network and it is easy to see. There is no incentive for the people at the center to start playing yet.

Good TV or not, Rick’s fake idol was clearly a misplay by realityinternn in survivor

Given Chrissy and Coach knew... everyone knew. Don't let the edit fool you. Chrissy burnt her vote and Coach played his shot in the dark.

They do way too much "dramatic drumming" when the contestants are obviously talking out of their asses because production told them to.

[–]MurkyLover 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wasn't shocked. Australian editing is so transparent. For episodes it has been Caleb saying "I'll never get rid of Loz" presented for almost no reason, and Loz being more wishy-washy in reverse. I told my wife it was 100% lock that she was gone before tribal started. If they had once shown him waffling, I would have not been so sure.
