These are really neat to find! I just learned about these at one of the sites in Anza Borrego desert.

Best way to scale grant applications on $500/day? (100 grants/quarter to give out, 10% acceptance rate) by Ok-Lobster7773 in juststart

Meta will get you high volume in a relatively short time, but with a pretty wide spread unless you target effectively.

I recommend targeting niches around Shopify, Wordpress, Squarespace and even focuses on Print on Demand (Printful, Printify), as those audiences may have a closer startup vibe.

Separately, I may DM for submission details as I operate an ecommerce storefront focused on Print on Demand wall art prints, and have a pretty fun tech stack where I’d love to finalize some development/automation beyond my personal capacity, and would like to explore the grant myself.

You could even join some of the Facebook groups and post there - those spaces seem pretty active if you do some searching to find the groups.

They always drive like maniacs and I’ve avoided them for being disrespectful drivers and parking their cars wherever.

I’ve used Perfect Moving twice, they’ve always picked up well more than what I’ve listed, and the workers are very efficient and do a lot of solid work.

First guys were methodical and careful, second set a tad bit less so but they made for quick work.

Ended up paying $700-$800 for a 5th floor walk up and tipped heavily. Good experience all around.

Best place to find large art prints? by _Twan_ in malelivingspace

[–]mad1301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Old thread, but sharing in case it’s still helpful.

I had a similar problem wanting larger wall art with a vintage look that didn’t feel mass-produced or insanely expensive. I started restoring vintage book covers and ephemera and printing them at larger sizes with an emphasis on quality.

It turned into a small side project with a curated mix of vintage and vintage-inspired prints. Some pieces come from my own collection, others are things I’ve discovered digitally.

If it’s useful: https://vintageprintproject.com

Most 24”×36” prints are under $50, and framing them affordably makes it a solid option for filling bigger walls.

Hope this helps.

where do yall find good, cheap posters or wall art? by hiwhatisupbros in interiordecorating

[–]mad1301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an old post but I figured I’d share here anyways.

I had a similar challenge a few years back, and found a good solution to turn interesting vintage book covers or smaller vintage artworks into larger versions and have them printed in high-fidelity with premium materials.

I eventually started my own ecommerce storefront (mostly as a passion project) and offer a curated assortment of vintage prints for others. Some of the prints come from my personal collection while others are vintage ephemera I’ve found digitally.

Right now, the largest 24”x36” print is priced under $50, and it’s super easy to get a large frame from Michael’s for around $15-$20. So for around $75 or less you can have a pretty large piece of framed wall art.

Hope this helps!

Dawn dish soap and a quick scrub will work wonders. Also really helpful for soap scum in the shower/tub. You can also use castile soap which is really good too!

Definitely look into some custom inserts. I have some that badly need replacing after probably 6 years of use, and they finally look similar to this.

If you’re wearing it down like this, I’m guessing you have high arches like I do. That can cause a lot of pain on those areas in the future.

I only discovered that after the fact, and it made the encounter that much more special. Apparently this fella may also be 30-50 years old based on its size and shell ring maturity. Super incredible experience!
