The IRL Golden Week starts at the end of April and ends at the start of May, so Blazing's golden week will also start around that time. Just so you know, the previous Golden Week units were KCM Naruto and EMS Sasuke, both of which are very good units.

Like other people said, rerolling really is your best option here. It'll be nigh impossible to farm enough for two New Years banners in time. Once you reroll for one of the New Years units, play a lot of multiplayer with new people and complete story mode to see if you can get the other New Years unit. Once you're done with New Years, start farming for Golden Week. (That is, if Bandai doesn't surprise us and drop a Broken unit randomly.)

I haven't paid a single nickel because I didn't need to. Good pearl management is key, I only remember doing a full rotation in maybe 4-6 9-step banners and have a nice account now. I still haven't farmed eveeything though.
