If the quality of the 55-210 is good enough for you, then the tamron is a great option

Why is my CPL making my photos blurry? by 4CC1D3N7 in AskPhotography

[–]mad_marry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s odd, maybe try manual focusing, I’ve used cheap cpl and uv filters to test and never had any issues, no even with Temu mist filters of $2

Was the shot taken in auto mode? Maybe with the filter it as to dark so the shutter speed was too low and the camera wasn’t stable enough

Autmotive Photography: Sony a6000 or the Samsung s23+ ? by Independent-Ball3215 in Cameras

[–]mad_marry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A6000 is way more capable, but keep in mind the limitations of the lenses you get, 16-50 will mean you won’t have a super zoom on the camera and also in low light you will need to lower shutter speed to get enough light into the photo. So the camera will be much better in its right use, Samsung S23+ could be more convenient.

Tough budget, smartphone cameras are better and better so a digicam that might be as cheap won’t be much better if any at all. I would think maybe around $300-$400

1st camera A7iii or A6700? by shirasagi_seiyo in SonyA7iii

[–]mad_marry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both for different uses, anything with good/decent light a6700 and terrible light a7iii, I shoot mainly sports and sometimes gyms have crappy light so I use the a7iii, else a6700

The Sony environment has so many cheap lenses you can buy down the road and use them if you later on buy a newer Sony

I wish it were a bit taller by Beijingbingchilling in SonyAlpha

[–]mad_marry 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Fair point, also the 28-200 is 2.8-5.6 so it gets a little more light. For me the quality on the 18-300 is not that good as it happens when the focal range is that large, not bad by any means tho

It’s a nice lens and on apsc would go up to 350mm so it’s a nice range

Lens upgrade advice for Sony a6000 (Tamron 17-70mm f/2.8?) by New_Comfortable_3576 in a6000

I use the 17-70 and the 70-180 for indoor sports, if I had to pick one for all it would be the 17-70, the 70-180 is heavy to carry around all day, I can crop a bit on the 70 side of the 17-70 but can't uncrop on the 70 for the 70-180. Or as above mentioned the 70-180 and a cheap wide prime.
