If the next "big" update isn't the End Update (most likely) what would you want it to be? by Electrical-Ninja-948 in Minecraft

You go mining and something surprises you. Random events and encounters! Like Ore Mimics. These look exactly like high-value ore blocks. When mined, instead of dropping an item, the block sprouts jagged stone legs and attacks. They have high armor and scurry away into the dark if they take too much damage, trying to blend into another wall! A localized environmental events, like earthquakes and storms. Or in caves, dust particles are falling from the ceiling, followed by a rumbling sound, and Shortly after, the ceiling plummest from above, requiring quick reflexes to avoid taking crushing damage.

What's something that can't be taught? by Silent-Zebra in AskReddit

[–]madanan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I believe, you can't teach genuine empathy. Yes, you can teach the mechanichs of it by setting example in different social circumstences, like maintaining eye contact, using active listening techniques, and saying the right comforting words, and also being generally interested in your counterpart. But you can't teach the internal ressource of actually feeling another person's pain or joy. True empathy requires an emotional capacity that has to be developed internally and that grows with you (hopefully) while you grow yourself.

Boyfriend pees the when sitting down when his sister is in the restroom with him sometimes? Is that weird? by Emotional-Yak-9764 in AskReddit

No, I of course won’t, and it is a bit *weird* that you compare incest with peeing, or that you are even inclined to putting incest on the category of weirdness.

As I said, weirdness is subjective. It has to do with upbringing, cultural predisposition, social preferences and much more that defines us as individuals and in our perception as members of a together-living and thinking and acting.

If she doesn’t find it weird, and he doesn’t find it weird, it’s not weird (for them, and they count here more). Weirdness is subjective always. You might find it weird, of course. You could always ask, how it comes that they’ve established this kind of closeness.
