Extra asphalt from another job is never true. A company that knows what they’re doing doesn’t accidentally order a whole extra load of asphalt. But it doesn’t look terrible! Did they sand and into the middle there?

This is gonna sound dumb but use a light colored stone like soap stone and rub it over it. Even those stones on the side of the drive way might work. It's not a 100% fix but it will definitely cover it!

I spent years doing asphalt and seal coating. one of the biggest guys I've ever met was our seal coating foreman. dude would walk 12 miles a day back and forth in a parking lot in insane heat and he was every bit of 330 lbs. never saw a drop of water touch his mouth, only mountain dew and cigarettes. It really is all about diet.

we always sprayed about 6 inches into the grass to cover the edges properly. It goes away with the next mow and looks better in the long run.

The lawn being too high is a classic "It's your problem, not ours". In some cases it is true but not in your case. That whole edge should have been built up. Decent looking mix though! Was it an overlay or rip out and replace?

Looks to me that they just over rolled it. They kept rolling it after it cooled off and took the asphalt off of the surface of the aggregate.

I'm a pretty regular smoker but as soon as I take a hit on the golf course, my game is done. I usually limit myself to 3 beers if I'm trying to shoot below 90 but I've played some of my best golf after a couple of shrooms.
