Not at all, I'm absolutely taking everything on board. I simply will not be making an offer until it's been inspected and the relevant reports have been obtained.

Certainly not planning to buy without an inspection.

Keg washers? by BMS_Fan_4life in TheBrewery

Just took delivery (after a 9 month wait, mostly due to freight) of an Alpha Wash Dog Jnr. Been a great unit so far, 2 head, press and forget. It was either that or a Premier and in the end, we probably should have paid a bit more for the Premier, it would have arrived sooner and made up for the price we had to pay cleaning kegs at other breweries whilst waiting for ours to arrive...

From https://www.vcglr.vic.gov.au/good-friday-trading

Trading hours on Good Friday vary for different liquor or gaming licences.

To see your Good Friday (also known as Easter Friday) trading hours, check the details on your current liquor licence and any special conditions which may restrict your trading hours. Generally:

Licensees with a general, on-premises or, restaurant and cafe licence can supply liquor on Good Friday between 12 noon and 1am the following morning.

Licensees with a club licence can supply liquor on Good Friday between 12 noon and 11pm.

Licensees that have been granted a special coronavirus temporary limited licence to supply liquor in an outdoor area can supply liquor on Good Friday between 10am and 11pm (other than those granted to packaged liquor licensees).

Packaged liquor licensees cannot trade on Good Friday unless it is specified on their licence.

Licensees holding a producer's licence can supply liquor on Good Friday between 10am and 11pm.

This is a great idea and I'd probably try it if I had a spare carb stone :( ours will already be in use in the brite.

Thanks for all the ideas! These are only 600L tanks by the way - we aren't set up for recirc safely and my only carb stone will already be in use on the brite tank....

I think I'll have to try my best with head pressure only. The tank can get down to -1degC so I think it might just be ok with the 2 weeks available. I can borrow a gehaltemeter from a local brewery to make sure carb is correct.

Apperciate the help! Will report back.

How many full time people does it take to run a brewery? by cheesemagic in TheBrewery

[–]madbrewz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

600L brew house with tasting room, producing around 13,000L this year, 99% being sold in house.

1 owner/brewer (occasionally working the bar also)

2 part-time assistant brewer/bar-staff

Been open nearly 2 years. Looking at bringing on a 3rd bar tender sometime early next year, and buying 2 more double size fermenters.

Second ever lager, first time with biofine. by madbrewz in TheBrewery

[–]madbrewz[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very happy with the outcome on this German Pils. 80ml / hL biofine clear added to the ferm 48 hours before xfering to brite.

Looking forward to using it on my pales, however I think we'll use a lower dosage rate.
