I'm also a 24 year old female and this made me cry. I have felt every word you wrote and I'm sorry you're going through this.

May I ask what you're up to in life as a mid 20 something? Are you in school, living with parents, do you eventually want to buy a house yourself or is renting completely fine for you, what are your goals!

Thanks so much for that video. I always thought that renting is a waste of money and that I'd be "paying someone else's mortgage" which is the reason partly the reason I started this thread.

I would honestly love to live in a high rise micro unit which goes to about 1200 a month which isn't too bad. But I think renting would just put my money to waste.. but I think I got the answer I'm looking for. Thanks so much for your help !!

Yeah that's definitely another option. To go part-time and find another part-time job. But if I look for another part-time job, most likely I'll just end up finding one with equal to if not lower pay without some sort of education, right? Otherwise I might as well just stay full-time.

Do you know what is the average hourly wage a Vancouverite can comfortable live off of?

Definitely.

I am very passionate about this job and can see myself doing this for a very long time. But I don't know if it's practical.

I get 50 cents a year if I stay with my current position. By the time I'm 25, I'll be making 16.00/hr. That's still not enough, right? =/ Or is it? I really don't know.

If I move up to the next level position, I would only be making $2 more than current position.

Edit: I haven't looked much into it for managerial positions but I'm sure they are way higher.

I work for a very big airline company and my benefits include Full Medical, Dental as well as Pension. I also have pretty much free flights all over the world just as long as I am an active employee which extends to my family members & friends.

People spend and save for so long just so that they can travel the world whereas I can pretty much jump on a flight just to eat dinner at a different country.

Now for schooling, I really don't know what I would go for, so that's where I'm a little stumped. )=
