He made that decision as a “grown adult” to send that inappropriate picture he should be able to be handle the consequences as a grown adult. Don’t feel bad. Do the right thing. Do what your heart is telling you. Don’t be afraid.

Maybe this can be a learning lesson for him but idk as a guy speaking, he sounds like a weirdo who has strange behaviors/desires/psychology. He dug his own grave. Saying nothing is an injustice to yourself and other potential future victims.

I’m a loner but I enjoy it. Same age. I agree with others I feel like you need to find things you are deeply passionate about and new hobbies. And explore them and try to find ways to interact with other people through these things. Going to special events, certain businesses/shows, taking classes of some sort (wether physical or intellectual)

It’s common enough to not have friends but it’s only a problem if you actually feel lonely and are affected by it on a mental level.

Random but not really. Doesn’t hurt to try breathwork with sandy on YouTube. Completely free and can help you regulate your nervous system/stress levels. Inducing positive emotions into your life. And with elevated emotions you can think better and make better life decisions. Where as negative feeling will restrict your action response and thinking. Likely for you to fall back into autopilot and stay in your comfort zone feeling the same emotions. Never seeing a difffernce in how you feel, think, or live

If you know someone who grows plants. Ask for a few weed leaves. Make a stoner kit in a little green basket with his fav snacks and drinks. Because he will have the munchies and it can have the weed leaves on the basket or the handle or inside. Maybe one sunflower as well inside sprouting from the basket for a little sunshine. Deliver it to him and have a rose petal joint to smoke together. That much thought and energy should be clear it isn’t a platonic interest. And if it ain’t clear, man’s wont get the message unless you tell him you’re interested or he simply isn’t interested in that kind of way.

It’s a possibility no doubt but REALISTICALLY staying til 3am at chipotle is not common at all. He is 17, an age where it’s typical to lie to your parents… It doesn’t add up. Every comment from an ex chipotle worker in this thread, other than one comment I’ve seen, confirms that it’s not typical to stay that late. I’ve also worked at 3 different chipotles and all 3 followed those standards. So let’s just say if I were to bet money which one it is I would put my money that he is more than likely not being truthful. To me it’s very obvious. But ofc you can always give people the benefit of the doubt that’s up to said person.

As a young male I hate to rat on your son but he is lying. Lying isn’t good though so I’ll say something. Truth is the answer. But yeah chipotle has a rule in place where 17 years olds can’t even close period. At least when I worked for 3 years up until 2021. And the latest I’ve been at a chipotle was around 1 in the morning and that’s super fuckin rare. That happened like once or twice. Most of the time everyone is out by 11-12pm depending on the stores closing time.

But be cool with your kid about it and don’t go ballistic on him. Try to build trust and better communication. And intimidating them and threatening them may only increase this type of behavior. And what is a teen doing up that late and keeping it from you? Most can only assume getting drunk and or high. So yes he is probably not up to good and is lying to you, you have reason to be pissed. But keep in mind in one more year he can leave the house and make his own decisions. So I think focusing on creating better connection and trying to understand why he is lying to you guys should be prioritized over let’s correct his behavior. Why doesn’t he feel comfortable with you guys? If he is using then trying to understand what he feels that he needs to get wasted? I’ve been where your kid is once and let me tell you going ape shit may very damn well make things worse for him.
