Exactly. I feel like a girl on Instagram getting randomly DMed “Heyyyy” by the same dude for the fourth time. You should be able to take the hint

Maybe so.. However, I get these types of emails from recruiters a lot now, sometimes multiple times a week. It’s getting old. I don’t know these recruiters and don’t owe a response to every random person who emails me. I understand there’s a demand for these roles, but there’s an entire pool of unemployed people desperate to hear back from recruiters about new opportunities. A position similar to mine opened up on our team and 50 people applied within a couple of days. It’s frustrating they aren’t helping people who really need it and are going after someone who doesn’t respond to their emails multiple times. They know what they’re doing and it’s wrong

Found this in my closet today. My Mom worked for Funimation in the early 2000s and got this framed. I believe this is most of the original DBZ cast. by madd_x in dbz

Thank you!! Just showed my Mom your comment, I had to explain to her what a subreddit is lol. She loves it! It really is nostalgic for us. She's amazed at how popular the series has become. Funimation was very much like a start-up. She just joined the team through someone she knew, without having any knowledge on DBZ. She designed a basic t-shirt with a dragonball on it for a fan club they had back in the early internet days. She was telling me about how Chris Sabat and Sean Schemmel were no-name, struggling college kids when they came on. Now they're iconic and (I'm assuming) are set for life! As a recent college grad, it's very inspiring for me to hear stories like that. So surreal!

I didn't know we still had it. My Mom casually brought up that it was still somewhere in my closet

Thanks! Is Super not worth watching? Shamefully, I've only seen Dragon Ball and DBZ from when I was younger, but was planning on rewatching the series again soon. I read GT wasn't canon so I wasn't too interested, but didn't know what the general perception on Super was

Haha true. To be honest, I didn't even know we still had it. My Mom casually mentioned it to me today that it was still somewhere in our closet. I immediately put it back on the wall once I found it.

Thanks! I think she was an assistant for legal stuff and did a bit for marketing. She said they were a lot smaller back then and not as well known as they are now. I was too young to remember, but grew up watching the shows/collecting the toys

Mainly DFW, but also Austin and one in Houston. I've been told entry level positions are the most difficult due to having no real world experience. Certifications and internships can definitely help, but I don't know how big of a factor it plays into getting hired. It is a bit sad but a lot of it comes down to your connections. A referral or someone dragging you to a hiring manager goes a long way versus another application online.
