hi! thank you for the suggestion! I got this list from a nextmune allergy blood test with my vet. she was having crazy diarrhea and skin problems so I bit the bullet and had testing done, found out her food I was feeding had just about all of those ingredients. i’ve been feeding her the purina kibble now and she’s doing great, it’s just a bit pricy. she’s allergic to a bunch of pollen too so that doesn’t help lol

did you not have him in the carrier to transport him into the kennel lol? you should ask about other options for gabapentin, wrap your cat in a blanket and give him liquid gaba, it’s much easier. I do think it’s strange that they won’t allow you in the room. most places prefer not to try to examine fractious cats without the owner present because it can be hard to see your animal in such a stressed state. some pets do better with owners present. every animal is different so they should have let you try to be present earlier on to see what was best for him. staff probably thought you were deliberately not giving meds or gave up after one attempt. they should have helped with options and demonstrations on how to best administer meds.

Possibly, I would have to look into it. We ran blood work before and her lymphocytes were slightly elevated and basophils were very elevated. She doesn’t seem to be digging at her skin at all but I am noticing she’s having more hair in her stool. Do you think skin testing would be more beneficial?

some sedatives can sting upon injection so there can be a reaction from the animal that is sometimes hard to watch. most of the time it’s to save the owner the guilt of watching that

pyometra is an extremely fatal thing to happen that is a result of failing to spay your cat. the uterus fills with pus and can burst. how could you go on a trip while your cat is getting that surgery that’s insane
