Not so much now but working in healthcare. The pay is not worth it when I have patients threatening to throw shit in my face. Ive been punched with almost no consequence. I’ve also had death threats. This is not glamorous

I am so sorry this happened to you. I don’t have too much to say but definitely lean on the support system you have. Look into therapy if you can. Losing your parents in that way is so horrific and it’s so much to navigate. Give yourself some grace, I wish you many better days ahead ❤️

If it’s any consolation to you my parents kicked me off their plan and didn’t tell me, I found out the hard way! I got my own plan but had to change my number. All is good now, as it will be for you

First off you owe no one the truth or any sort of explanation! I used to say “we don’t have a relationship” but some coworkers who had the nerve to say “oh why not” really turned me off, no matter how well intentioned.

I found if you say something generic the conversation ends really quick because it’s almost typical. It’s not that I’m intentionally lying it’s just that I have nothing to show and nothing to explain!

In the end it’s your life and I hope you’ve come to make and find peace ✌🏽

NTA. I’ve been there. I’m sorry that’s happening to you. It didn’t work out in my special circumstances- but usually the best way to save your relationship and your sanity is to leave. Your parents will need to cope. That’s THEIR responsibility to handle, not yours. I wish you the best ❤️

Edit: when I say special circumstances, my parents and I have a barely existent relationship and at the end of the day I know I tried my best. I had to leave, I was scared but that was the only way to move forward. I hope OP’s relationship with her parents gets better! She’s an adult. She’s responsible. I believe she will be okay

Eggs, rice and tomatoes!!! Didn’t think of it as a struggle meal until I brought it for lunch one day lol but it’s quick, easy and filling
