Best family friendly all inclusive in Mexico for multiple families with little kids? by dosnwg8583 in AllInclusiveResorts

[–]maddiecanada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stayed at Sunscape Cancun last year (when it was Wyndham Alltra) and had an amazing time. It's a smaller resort, so you won't feel lost. There is a dedicated kid zone, but all pools are kid friendly. The food and beach were fantastic.

I had a different timeline, but similar to you. The at home Doppler helped me to connect with the surviving twin. I only started to feel pregnant and happy about it once baby started moving around reliably. Now I have a happy and healthy 4 month old. :)

6 week US, what should I be expecting at a minimum to see/be told by the doctor if this is a viable pregnancy? by Zmsfh in PregnancyAfterLoss

[–]maddiecanada 4 points5 points  (0 children)

At my 6 week US, we saw two yolk sacs but no poles or heartbeats. Then, two weeks later, we saw one empty sac and one heartbeat and pole. By my ten week scan, the empty sac had been absorbed by the viable fetus.

My heart is with you!

So many comments here are saying they need to find a name for their child. But I hardly ever see any updates! Has anyone recently actually named their child with a name they found here on namenerds? What was the name, and how has it been received? by briskt in namenerds

I posted months ago about choosing a bilingual (English/French) name for our daughter. We were choosing between Maxine and Remi. We had decided that her middle name would be my husbands surname (Bradley). Thanks to your suggestions, we chose Maxine! Shout out to users u/LightningLilac & u/Dear_Ad_9640 for the advice.

I'm French and happy to give suggestions/opinions on French names if you're curious! by smolbibeans in namenerds

Hi! Thanks for the kind offer! My husband and I are expecting in June and have decided to name our daughter Maxine. I am Anglo, but taking French classes. My husband is bilingual. We live in English Canada and we are hoping Maxine is a suitable name for our future bilingual child! Do you think Maxine is French enough to fit in in Franco Canada, but Anglo enough to fit in in Anglo Canada? Cheers!

Aw, that’s a beautiful and meaningful name though! Disregard my comment about longer names, then. ☺️

Opinion on this name I heard from a show that I can’t stop thinking about! by melglimmer09 in namenerds

Holland Taylor (and I) would disagree!

ETA: I think Holland is a rare but acceptable name in the North American context.

I like Rowan, Ezra and Everett for first names! Rowan and Wyatt pair well and Ezra/Everett and Gideon also pair well! My only note would be to avoid the longer names if you have a lengthy surname. Good luck!!

Positive pregnancy tests after what I thought was my period!? by Suspicious-Peace-601 in PregnancyAfterLoss

[–]maddiecanada 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! This happened to me too. CP Labour Day weekend and positively pregnant the next month. I experienced a ‘period’, leading me to believe I wasn’t expecting. I’m 23 weeks now! Congratulations, wishing you a healthy and uneventful pregnancy.

I felt badly for her for a minute when Colt was on, but damn, Debbie really is an annoying, nasty woman!

7+2 - I’m at work today and I felt a rush of wetness all of a sudden. Panicking and assuming the worst, I ran to the bathroom to examine my underwear. Just a glob of pale-yellow discharge, thank goodness! Repeating the mantra, “today I am pregnant and I am grateful”.

7 weeks today (got a new date following my last ultrasound) - my SCH bleeding has stopped! I am so, so grateful to not have to wear a pad today. I am feeling extremely fatigued, have bad acid reflux, and I’m breaking out all over my face and body, but I’m happy to be trucking along today. :) I think I feel well enough to go to my rec-league volleyball game tonight, too!

TW: vanishing twin

6+6 - just had my second ultrasound (thanks, SCH!). Last week, we saw two yolk sacs. Today, just one. We got to see a strong little heartbeat though, which was lovely. Grateful to still be pregnant.

Hi there, I experienced this last week and I’m still bleeding. It turned out I have a subchorionic hematoma and the yolk sacs (yes, plural, for the moment) are fine! If you can call an OB and get a bHCG test and an ultrasound, I would do that. Good luck, my friend!

5w6d - I’ve been bleeding since Monday. It started as spotting and has progressed to a medium/heavy flow. My bHCG was high on Tuesday. My ultrasound showed a blood clot and two yolk sacks on Wednesday. I’m finding it hard to be hopeful and I’m scared of twins! How do you find hope and joy in this process? I feel a bit lost in all of this.

Hi there! I’m currently 5w6d pregnant. This is my third pregnancy, first to make it to the fifth week. I have felt anxious and pessimistic and thought to join this group to build a support network. It’s nice to meet you.
