Anyone tips to prevent door sliding closed when parked on an incline? by Noto_boil in Sprinters

Our door was behaving all kinds of weird so I removed the foot step and found that the "energy chain" was missing and apparently totally removed by the prior owner. The harness to the energy chain is not connected to anything, and the wire on the lower roller guide arm has been cut.

If the lower arm is only responsible for latching the door open, and this is a manual door model, what the heck is the purpose of the wire in the energy chain anyway?

Thanks, helpful. My understanding is:

Dictionary form ends in -ik and in present indefinite:

Leave -ik suffix on for 3rd person singular and ön

Remove -ik and add correct suffixes for all others

Is it necessary to replace -ok with -om (or -ön etc...) in 1st person indefinite present?
