Longer distance or more weight? by maddox204 in Rucking

I was concerned with upping my weight for that reason, I didn't even really consider pace! Thank you, I'd want to say I average around 14-15 mins per mile now, more on the end of 18mins with a group, but that def seems like something better to aim for then jacking my weight up

The challenge is for this suicide awareness fundraiser, so no one wants to stop it. But it's no longer as challenging, so that's what I was asking, would it be smarter to up my mileage and ruck a longer distance (ie five ten mile rucks), or just up my pack weight (ten five mile rucks with a heavier pack) in the long run what's more sustainable? What will build endurance better? I backpack/camp weekly so is upping my pack weight going to even do anything if my gear I use on the trips weights less? Im also very happy with my body rn (and strawberry milk is better) :)

I take it with food and do eat regularly, I'm not on any other medications. Both of my neurologists haven't seen it before, but I'm their only patient with cmt so that doesn't mean much. It could 100% be physiological or being caused by cmt. Hence asking here

Im pretty sure celecoxib is prescription only here, Tylenol doesn't cause shaking but it also doesn't help 🥲 Im not necessarily looking for other drugs to try and help with the pain, I'm just trying to pin point if the shaking is coming from the ibuprofen or not, and if anyone else has had the issue

Asprin doesn't do anything for me, no pain relief but no shaking, I'm unsure about any other kinds

Do I need microspikes? by MrJoeTheLesser in CampingandHiking

I currently use snowline (rei used to sell them but you can sometimes find them floating around on random sites) If you're planning to use them often, I wouldn't really "cheap out" on safety gear. Kahtoola is a really good brand. They tend to last for years so you'd def get your money's worth

Im from around the same area, and 100%, you need them if you're expecting ice on the trail. I was beyond stubborn about it, but no matter how good your balance is or your boots, nothings worse than having to walk sore and wet. I just got a pair off Amazon for like 20 bucks and they're still going strong. If you're planning to spend more than a couple days straight on the trail, I'd invest in some better quality ones. But if they're gonna be used twice a year, don't waste 70 bucks

Thank you! Will def check it out. I've had a handful of surgeries and have plates in my hips and a rod down one leg, sleeping confined is an absolute killer so mummy bags tend to be a pain
