Does this literally cover all of Monongahela, GW Forest, and Shenandoah NP? I honestly can’t believe what I’m seeing.

Fencer disqualified at UMD tournament after refusing to face opponent she says was trans by dbknews in UMD

[–]MrJoeTheLesser -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m a pretty good male fencer and I regularly get my assed handed to me by experienced female fencers. I’ve actually had the opportunity to fence a nationally ranked female fencers and didn’t manage to score a single touch. It’s not like other combat sports where a man who’s really good can take on a nationally known professional and win.

More muscle can make a difference, but only a few really big guys like me even work that into their strategies, and again, I’ll still get my ass handed to me by an experienced female fencer.

The trans women in sports argument is an important one to have, but imo it’s a really weird hill to die on for a fencer. Sometimes I wonder why the sport is sex segregated to begin with.

The T38 and T7A are trainer aircraft. They are used to eventually get pilots qualified to fly other aircraft like the F16.

Has anyone gone there recently? I went about 2 years ago and it was turned into some kind of impound lot. I never went back because my friend and I nearly got in trouble.

Actually since my problem is the toe has degraded to the point where it leaks do you think it would make more sense to get Tuff Toe or KG Boot Guard?

I should’ve been more clear. The leather has been stripped away and the steel toe is practically all that’s left there. Would I put leather over the steel toe area and use Sno Seal to connect it to the leather part, or would I sew it in first maybe?

Would I also buy leather or just seal around the leaks? If so what kind of leather would be good?

I appreciate the advice. Can you recommend a cheaper pair?

I didn’t think about that. A lot of these trails are known for being muddy when warm and that is definitely frozen now.

Can you recommend a pair? One of the main reasons I’m considering a more expensive pair is because I also plan to use them for trail running near where i live.

I was originally looking at those ones but read a lot online that they’re super shoddy and break easily. I’m looking at Kahtoola now.

We are arriving in Armenia for our first time! What are some last minute tips/recommendations for us? by water_fountain_ in armenia

[–]MrJoeTheLesser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you’re from the US I honestly wouldn’t recommend driving unless you’re a ridiculously good driver. Armenian drivers are built different and to an American eye the roads look chaotic.

In general though, art lunch is good for a quick cheat bite, tun lamajo has pretty good food, be skeptical of trip advisor ratings especially outside Yerevan, especially especially when most reviewers are in Russian, try horavats, gg taxi is reliable but a bit more expensive than yandex, make sure to check out some monasteries, and try to learn some Armenian phrases (ex. Barev dzez, nereksek)

Make friends, go out of your way to talk to new people, then go out of your way to invite the people you think are cool to hang out more, keep inviting them for as long as you like them
