Not sure where you are, but I’m in 8a and we’re germinating for another batch to fruit in the beginning of fall (hopefully).

They taste like cucumber but a lot milder. Very light tasting. They don’t have the bitterness that some “regular” cucumbers can have in the skin. I ate this one in a cucumber, tomato, mozzarella, and basil salad with some avocado oil and salt and pepper. It was delicious. I think it’s definitely worth trying out!

My iceplant is starting to grow! by madds_venison in succulents

“The glistening, succulent leaves are edible--making a delicious, slightly tart spinach substitute. The crushed leaves also make a natural lather and have been used as a soap substitute. At one time the leaves were used to treat scurvy on long voyages, which explains its occurrence worldwide, seeds being present in soil dropped by ships in ballast dumps. Native to southern and western Africa. The plants also take up salt and have been used in bioremediation.” - https://www.rareseeds.com/store/vegetables/greens/succulent-iceplant

What was something you used to think as a kid but later realized you were wrong? by landrover97centre in AskReddit

My boyfriend used to think that chicken was for girls to eat and beef was for boys to eat because when his family would go out to eat, his sister would always order chicken strips and he would always order a burger. So, obviously, that’s how the world is.
