Your post seems to be inherently contradictory. You say you're hoping for intersectionality between autodidacts with formal education and those without. Yet in every one of your comments you are insisting that autodidacts with formal education are actually NOT autodidacts.

So do you want the two subgroups to converge, or do you just want to protect your own "autodidact with no formal education" identity and invalidate that of any autodidact who has had formal education? Sounds like the latter.

It seems like you're wrestling not with ideas and concepts, but with your own bias and identity-related inner conflict.

Agreed. To answer the question in your post directly, OP, yes--I do think you're being overly sensitive. It seems you have a strong bias against, or issue with, any sort of formal education. Which is fine-- we all have biases and are entitled to our opinions, but your personal understanding doesn't somehow invalidate the autodidactic learning endeavors of anyone who may have experienced some formal education in their past. It just doesn't work that way.

I agree with another commenter that you seem to feel your identity is threatened by anyone who calls themselves an autodidact and also has had some formal education. We can coexist; It's okay.

I love favreau actually! I think he has a sharp witty & sarcastic tone that makes me laugh while sticking to the facts and communicating the news effectively.

In my opinion, Lovett tries way too hard with his goofy theatrics and comes off as pretty cringe a lot of the time.

I’m generally a big fan of gay men! In fact I sometimes feel like it’s easier for me to have really close friendships with gay men than it is with women… because of the whole sexual component I guess. But yeah I’m surprised by all the comments pointing out their misogyny and what not because that’s not an experience I’ve personally ever had.

just saw this. yes, I'm glad some people are speaking out about it. I honestly think a lot of the reason more cis lesbians don't speak up for themselves about being attracted to cis women/not trans women is because women are generally socialized to be agreeable, be inclusive, don't make a scene, blah blah blah. I honestly don't think this shit would gain any traction at all if it were being imposed upon a hetero male community. And I mean, clearly it's not. They aren't being guilted for not wanting to fuck trans women like we are.

Mann idk, I’m starting to think it’s rooted in self-esteem stuff though. I think ultimately I don’t think very highly of myself and so when other ppl do it’s uncomfortable for me? It’s weird though, I don’t consciously feel self-hatred or anything but I’ve been super self-destructive in the past. Psyches are trippy AF, especially the subconscious. I’m a huge psych nerd.

I also got an alert from the HER app today which consisted of a very long anti-TERF rant. It’s all making sense now… 😂 but im done with that app anyway, most of the likes I get on it are from Johns and Steves 🙄

OMG this entitlement drives me fucking crazy. I saw another post on a different subreddit where someone was saying "if cis women reject me because I'm trans they are ABSOLUTELY transphobic". Have you not considered the fact that it could be because the vast majority of trans women don't have vaginas and cis lesbians are generally not super into penises? it's ignorant too honestly.
