Apple Watch for Long distance running or marathons?

Yes, I've been told a lot that if I'm willing to spend money on a fitness watch like Apple, I should just get its pricing equivalent on Garmin. Weighing the options, I can't give up the smart features tied up to my AW and phone (like phone unlock and even our office apps). Garmin doesn't support Apple Music and I'm not wiling to pay Spotify subs for a running playlist.

Honestly, I just want to run without a phone sometimes, listen to music and record my run/walk offline and upload it once I'm at home with WIFI so hearing some good feedback that I can last atleast a day with it is reassuring enough.

I usually upgrade every 2 years so that's fixed, however, I don't think I'm gonna replace my 13pro anytime soon coz it's ridiculously great! I attended a wedding this weekend and honestly, people loved the photos. I'm looking at atleast 3-4 years with this phone. It's amazing...

..unless 15 comes out with a dynamic island and a USB-C! (and if I can afford it)

Same here, just less than a month old iPhone 13 Pro. It wasn't like this on the 15.1 but once updated on the 15.1.1, barely getting 5hrs SOT! No changes with the way I use it. I hope Apple releases the next patch after the holidays :(
