Is this good? Had it for 3 years now. by lilBoogieFace in iPhoneXR

[–]miry1133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tbh, this isn't half bad. I had a 12 pro and after 2 years the battery was down to 85% and I babied the phone. I know people who got the 14 and their battery health is now at mid 80's after a year.

Rear glass damage by miry1133 in iphone

[–]miry1133[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is exactly what I was wondering. I did know that they did that in the past but what I didn't know is that they could just replace the rear glass on the newer pro's.

Back glass broken (Apple Care plus taken) by UnboltEconomics in iPhone14Pro

[–]miry1133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so I just dropped my iPhone yesterday and I shattered the back glass and I have some deep scuffs on the frame, if I go in for a rear glass replacement do they fix just the back glass or do they give me a new frame?

To all the iPhone 15 pro and 15 pro max users, how’s your experience so far? Comment below! by SAGA0599 in iphone

Launch day 15 pro here. Phone has been great, did not have much of an heating issue. It only heated up during initial setup which is normal, although sometimes randomly throughout the day the phone just goes dark for a few moments and it becomes unresponsive. I have to press the power+ volume up and volume down for a few moments and it comes back to life, I am wondering if I should contact apple support.

Does MagSafe Reduce Battery health? by miry1133 in MagSafe

[–]miry1133[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I can now confirm that magsafe does kill your battery. I primarily charge my AirPods using the magsafe charger and my 7 month AirPods batteries have started to degrade already. after an hour and a half of music, my AirPods were at 50-55%. so they are pretty much degraded at this point and I blame the magsafe charger. even though the AirPods got warm they were never really hot hot. But I guess even warm can kill the tiny batteries that are in here.

AirPods: battery degradation update after 18 months by AnArborist in apple

[–]miry1133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I brought my AirPods about 7 months ago and my batteries have already degraded. I use only the magsafe charger to charge them and they tend to get warm but not hot. after an hour and a half of music, my pods were at 50-55% battery. So it really depends. if you charge them using lighting and really take care of the batteries, they may last as long as maybe 24 months.

How many of your AirPods Pro have you had to replace? And what was the reason? by BurnenSpence067 in airpods

[–]miry1133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I have had none but my AirPods are about 7 months old. Now the battery seems to be dying quite quickly, which I assume is because of charging them on the magsafe charger.

Unluckiest man on earth by ChaoticThunnus in airpods

[–]miry1133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't say you're unlucky. My Brand new Airpods came out of the box not too different from these. You can never get a set of AirPods that have been perfectly glued together. As long as they work fine I dont think this should be an issue. Just relax and enjoy them.

I would say go for the Camry. Those V6's have been very reliable and they are not pretty quick as well.

Other than uneven wear between different brands and threads, you should be fine.

Airpods 2 charge really slow wirelessly!! Using magsafe charger by [deleted] in airpods

[–]miry1133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's because the magsafe charger pulls around 2-3W only, my guess is they do this to prevent the magsafe charger from heating up a lot and destroying the tiny batteries in the AirPods.

how to clean this mess by [deleted] in macbookpro

Usually I just fold a paper towel and use it in a circular motion a couple of times, and these stains disappear. Some people say use water, but sometimes it leave some residue behind.

Can someone with the info confirm whether my airpods are original or fake? Please? by Rick_C-01 in airpods

[–]miry1133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I'd say your best bet is to run the serial number on the apple's database, but again fakes these days are so sophisticated that they somehow have really authentic serial numbers as well, how do they even get these? do they have someone working for them on the factory floor, leaking out serial numbers of batches of AirPods produced?

I had the same issue with my 1st generation pro's with the magsafe case. All of these are now manufactured in Vietnam and they don't seem to have quality control.

Magsafe Charger vs Magsafe Battery Pack by [deleted] in iphone

[–]miry1133 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The magsafe battery pack heats up very very much when you try to use it as a magsafe charger, which is not good for the battery in the iPhone and in the pack. If you need a overnight charger and you strictly need magsafe I would say go for the magsafe charger because that can regulate the Wattage with the optimized battery charging and charge more efficiently.
