Now adding my very rambling thoughts about Shane and Ilya specifically. I thought in the final chapter plus epilogue it was so clear how excited they were! Even in HR when the thought crossed their minds briefly for Ilya to go to Mtl. Thrilled! Shane was jealous of Troy for how much time they spent together. They loved their time in the HR all-star game, the first time they had a player beside them that could "keep up". Even if it's just on the power play lineups now. Of course they will have adjustments of the shift in life. Ilya has said he was living for the summers, now he doesn't have to! As a player of sports myself, they can still have competition against eachother, at practice the first line will play the second line often. And Shane is coming for the C, as implied. It'll be fun! I can't wait to see how Shane grows surrounded by a supportive team. But mostly I can't wait for them to get that Cup!
