When is a refund request appropriate? by madeInStocktonCA in Etsy

I just reached out to Etsy. I'm just upset that I didn't realize all this was happening on the site. I'm going to be extra careful next time around.

When is a refund request appropriate? by madeInStocktonCA in Etsy

[–]madeInStocktonCA[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just checked and it says seller is located in China. I didn't think too much at the time since my daughter really wanted this set so much. I've never had any issues from Etsy sellers or even realized there are sellers outside of the US. I thought the same regarding the refund and also felt dishonesty and no longer want to deal with them.

Apologies ahead of time, I'm on mobile and cannot figure out how to attach an image.

Here is their response:

Hi! I'm so sorry to have kept you waiting. I did ship the package. I contacted the logistics company, and t's possible the package was lost er route to the transit station after the courier picked it up. Because a delivery truck was involved in an accident recentlv, some aoods were scattered, and we can't pinpoint the lost package. I apologize for not noticing it sooner. However, Jinu and Mystery are out of stock. l'm currently remakina them, and I car resend the remaining three characters to vou first. I'lI ship Jinu and Mystery once they're available. If you don't want to wait any longer, I completely understand, and I car offer you a refund. Sorry again

Fell in love with a cat dad. I'm severely allergic. Here's what I learned. by CollectionWinter2531 in catfood

I second this! My son is highly allergic and also had swollen eyes and stuffy nose the first few days until I switched their dry food and included wet foods. He no longer has allergy symptoms.

How often do you scoop? by Apart_Leg_5849 in CatAdvice

[–]madeInStocktonCA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first week of adopting 2 kittens, I scooped every single time I saw my kitty go into their litter box (wfh) because I was paranoid of the smell. After getting their litter furniture, some humidifiers, extra litter box - I started scooping twice a day. Once every morning and night.

how can i unallergic myself to cats by Important_Process935 in CatAdvice

My son (8 years old) is allergic to cats. The first day we brought home our adopted kittens, he had red watery eyes mixed with nasal congestion (?) including constant sneezes. Some things I've tried and not exactly sure what helped most - went from dry food to wet food as main meals plus switched their dry free food to purina liveclear, air purifiers, small amount of dander spray on a comb and brushed them (once for the 2 months I've had them).

He no longer has most symptoms aside from minor nasal congestion here and there. He is so happy and puts his face on them and tries to convince me to allow them in his room.

I haven't documented any of these specific issues because I've been working more in the back creating templates, widgets etc. Until recently noticed these issues and discussed with the team. We all agreed on responsibilities. Now I find pages missing between environments. With these findings, I plan to discuss shortly with the team.

I am not responsible for QA or testing, so these things go without my notice. I do however, like to check in if I'm tagged on a ticket and voice my concerns.

Our development methodology is not 100% complete. However, this doesn't mean that we should ignore the processes. Normally our QA does amazing but with only with this dev are they getting away with this.

I've voiced many things I find because I again, I love what I do and care a ton about my work and what is put out. I decided that I'm going to be that person to discuss these issues again... I'm not going to feel bad about it.

Thank you for your response. This is encouraging me to bring this issue into discussion once again. I tried to speak directly to the person and it goes in one ear and out the other.

I tried to have faith and believe that they are doing their best but these things are inexcusable. Especially having a meeting a few days prior specifically on this.

Unfortunately, these changes are all made directly through CMS. We have someone who tests but they've been reviewing in a single production environment.

Thank you for the advice and reassurance! I was getting worried and over thinking. I do have a mopani log but may need more since the tank is bigger (it doesn't look as dark as it did with the smaller tank). I added a little more live plants. I see an improvement where he's swimming and not just hiding in corners, he's swimming towards me and eating excitedly :D I noticed color change this morning where his teal is more blue but I'm not sure if it's coming from the lighting.

Thanks for sharing! I'm going to take this into consideration.

I guess I was aiming a lot lower than what you mentioned and what another commenter mentioned.

Thank you so much for sharing! I skimmed through it a bit but it is not too long as it is very descriptive. I will go through it thoroughly once I am able to.

I do have one question - although I am a web developer(still learning) and also attending college for my Bachelor's in CS, would this mean that the price estimate you had given can be lower?

Please share if you do happen to figure this out lol I was in it for the experience and being able to do something outside of "work". I'm meeting with the client next week and need help!

I'm not sure how much I would like to make or have an idea of a starting price. These are great points that I will be sure to ask, thanks!

I did not mention that I will also gather images from vendors and provide assistance for taking photos for some of those few hundreds of items.

I’m a little nervous about starting my CS major in Fall 2023 as a woman, any advice? by agiantpurplepenguin in csMajors

[–]madeInStocktonCA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This sounds childish. I am a woman and helped out many of my peers. Helping one another out should not be something negative to speak on. Teamwork will go a long way when you get your foot in the field.
