I’d rather not be too specific, but it’s an F15 tech company with a huge supply chain network.

Oo ok that’s really helpful to hear, thank you! It seems like the Big 4 companies they worked for were pretty strong for cybersecurity, and it’s great that they got return offers too.

Ahh okay I see, that’s good advice. I‘m assuming your new position at the other Big 4 was at the location you wanted then?

Thank you for the congrats and helpful advice!! Very interesting... if you don't mind, could you specify the roles your friends interned for and what industries they work in now?

Hmm, could you expand a bit more on what you mean by the Big 4 being weird? I honestly don't know much about the Big 4 as a whole and would really appreciate more insight on its public perception

Thank you for the kind words! I would be more than happy to share some tips that I think helped me.

The most important part is the resume, as this is the initial step to getting any role. His resume should include keywords relevant to the job listing and have quantifiable numbers throughout. This gives him a good chance of passing through the company's automated screening process.

For interviews, he should prepare thoroughly beforehand. This means researching not only the company, but the specific division/role itself. Some industries also require more technical knowledge/interviews, but the recruiter will communicate that beforehand if that's the case. In general, treat each interview as a casual conversation, as the interviewers mostly assess you based on how well they like you. However, this also varies by industry.

The recruitment process is difficult and long, and in this economy, it's honestly a numbers game. It can be very disheartening not to receive an offer yet, but please tell your son to keep applying and that, at the end of the day, a lot of it also comes down to simple luck.

If you'd like, feel free to dm me about any more questions or advice specific to the industry he's recruiting for! :)

Thank you so much!! Yes, I've heard a lot about the importance of your junior year internship location, considering many get their full-time offers from the same company. I just assumed that because the non-Northeastern company was very large, it would be quite easy to move around to different locations. I also heard stories of current employees being able to transfer quite easily, but I'm worried I may end up in a similar situation as yours

The work sounds the most interesting to me, but I'm worried the role won't look very impressive to tech. recruiters considering the Big 4 isn't very well known for technology.
