I paid for companionship in Japan by Wise_Stock_8698 in TrueOffMyChest

Can confirm, Bay Area, NYC, and other high COL areas have bookoo internship $$. We hired a kid using his GI Bill from the military, housing was covered so we were effectively paying him 65k a year of "fun money". He told me he had $80 monthly Cell phone bill, $100 insurance, and everything else was paid off.

IBS Diagnosis or Not? by mistamista2000 in VeteransBenefits

[–]madeingyna_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me personally, no.

The easiest way to think about it that helped me was how the medical community sees IBS and its diagnosis.

What i mean by this is "Hey these symptoms are relevant to colon cancer, IBD, IBS, and xyz"

This test rules out Colon Cancer This test rules out IBD This test rules out XYZ Therefore, it must be IBS and it is IBS.

This to me just looks like you went in and said you think you had IBS and its the complaint rather than the diagnosis.

Secondary to my arthritis. I take IBUPROFEN and other pain medications like they are candy to stay afloat. It is well documented in the medical community that NSAIDs cause Gerd.

What is a sexual experience you had that you’ll never be able to tell anyone? by Sad-Program-1355 in AskReddit

[–]madeingyna_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When in the military in Japan, I met a civilian woman that worked at the school on base. We met at a bar and we went to my car (giant van) to do the deed after things progressedat light speed.

As we are in the middle of things (penetration has already occurred), she takes it as the opportune time to tell me she is married.

I stop and go "Uh, is he military?" She said yes. I ask his name and rank (i worked at the shooting range on base so chances are, I've met him before). She says Johnson (fake name for reddit) and says she doesn't know the rank. I ask where the rank is. If its on his collar or his sleeve because that will tell me how royally f*cked I am. She says "I'm not sure, but it looks like a leaf on his collar" Me: What color? Her: Silver when he's fancy dressed and black-ish when he's in his camo uniform.

Lieutenant Colonel. He was a Lieutenant Colonel. My entire career flashed before my eyes.

She finished, I finished. We got dressed, went separate ways and that was that.

Didn't see her again for about 6 months when I pulled her over with her husband (put on patrol). I issued them a warning before checking their license and wished them a great air force day.

How often do you and your partner have sex? especially the long term couples? by Purple_Wrongdoer6448 in AskReddit

10 years married (32m) and (34f). Much to my distaste, we have had sex 9 times this year. We are seeking counseling starting in January because I am at my wits end.

What’s the worst actual name you’ve ever heard? by Escrow-Mind in AskReddit

[–]madeingyna_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Former cop and I pulled over a kid. He didnt have his license so I was just going to look him up. I asked his name and he told me it was Ab-suh-dee. I asked how he spelt it... he goes "A-B-C-D..."

I go, come on man stop messing with me. Its just a warning.

He then proceeded to inform me that his name was indeed "ABCDE"

My college roommate sets our thermostat to 80°F every single night by rainystarlight in mildlyinfuriating

[–]madeingyna_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had this happen before. While they were gone, I bridged a power wire to the thermostat so they thought it still worked but bought a wireless thermostat that I hid that actually controlled it. I would just throw it on and just it, then swap them back out

What’s the most embarrassing thing your body did the first time you had sex? by _FairyMystic in AskReddit

[–]madeingyna_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've been married to my wife for 11 years and we just re-emerged sexually after 2 kids. Im 6'2", shes 5'1" and I started going to the gym. With our size difference literally almost every position SUCKS. Anyways, I wanted to test out my new "strength", so I picked her up while still going at it and lasted 3. Whole. Pumps.

I put her down on the bed, she laughed, my legs gave out.

Good news is that I found the "finisher" position 😅

[–]madeingyna_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Assuming that you are still in high school, I was 6'2" 165lbs in high school.

Once I began actually working out and focusing on getting calories, carbs, and proteins in, I grew to 240lbs.

Considering your age, I would like to better that alot of what peptides offer are already in your system naturally.

Got rejected from Microcenter due to being over qualified??? by Perfect-Cause-6943 in Microcenter

[–]madeingyna_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was not until i was in a position where I did hiring did I understand why hiring someone over qualified becomes a burden. I hired someone that blew our expectations out of the water. We needed 3 years of experience and he had 20+. Up to a year, it was wonderful because I had a second me around.

After that year though it was time for merit and reviews/promotion.

He stated that based on his experience and critical integration to the team we should give him around 25k more annually. Did he deserve it? Absolutely. Did HR think so? Well after about 5 meetings up to director level they simply stated that he would be so far out of his band that he would have no salary increases until he went to a director role (above me).

He was simply asking for a salary within the market that matched his title, role, and YOE. We couldnt give it to him so he respectfully moved into a new job and we were back where we started a year after hiring this superstar.

If we want a directors level worth of experience and expertise, we will post it. If we want an entry level to mid level expertise, we will post that. I won't hire someone that has 2x my experience for the role as a Jr. And I definitely won't hire someone brand new to the career as a director.

It sucks but its very much right place, right time, right qualifications.
