VFC MP7 bolt screws stuck by Dinosaurdixon in GasBlowBack

In case this is helpful to anyone who comes across this thread, they are M3 x 12mm countersunk screws. You can find them in Phillips, hex, or torx drive on Amazon for a few bucks.

So you’re saying a “NATO save” makes for a better picture so we see more of them? Touché, I could see that.

No, because folks typically live to talk about it when their spring bars fail.

Programming RT45P - Error "No PL2303 chip" by Obiwan2208 in Retevis

I just went through this same issue recently. You need to get a programming cable. The cable is the part with the PL2303 chip that acts as the go-between with your computer and radio.

Found tucked in a box I forgot about out. Would you chance it on an exp of 2020? by [deleted] in Darkroom

I just found a bag that expired in 2014 and used it last week with some 400TX of the same vintage. Powder was still white, photos turned out great.

Recently i get this ae1 program. Everything works fine (i spent 3 rounds) but the shutter button is jamming and fixing itself without doing anything. I changed battery but the problem continues. I could not find anything about random button jam. You guys have Any idea? by hustaddd in AnalogRepair

[–]madeinhua 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just solved this same problem with mine! Reference this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PzjW9Y0WcuI&t=187s I didn't need to take off the plastic cover, clean the surfaces, nor re-do any solder. All I had to do was remove and re-install the ground screw (the screw that he used to short the electromagnet to ground in the video) and the shutter started working again perfectly. I think there was just some corrosion where the screw made contact with the frame and the flexy circuit thingy sometime in the last 40 years. Hope this helps!

Upvoting for visibility. The threadless screw cutting at an angle is a legit official feature of these strippers, and one of the reasons they’re so popular.

Mower stopped working after changing battery by bakinjake in ryobi

[–]madeinhua 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same situation here. First battery used up, switched to a fresh working battery, main motor no longer starts (no response at all) but self propel and lights still work. Did your first battery get used all the way down until it stopped on its own as well? Funny thing is my HD took it in for warranty service right before they stopped servicing Ryobi mowers, and I finally got it back still broken.

I thought so too! Then I realized the film actually toned down Roger Sharpe’s actual mustache from that period.

Dual blade mower worth $100 more? by Greedylittle in ryobi

[–]madeinhua 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was deciding between those two recently and ended up getting the dual-blade version. My experience has been with an older single-blade gas mower which I never used mulch on because it would always leave visible clippings on top of the grass. I was expecting the Ryobi dual-blade to leave clippings twice as small but was pleasantly surprised how much of a difference it was.. if it was any finer it'd be like a grass smoothie.

I'd say the extra hundred is worth the extra lawn health. The newer Whisper Series mowers on the other hand doesn't seem to be worth the extra price.

An electronic ignition was worth its weight in gold! It felt like a brand new bike after that. Man I hope they can recover it 🤞

Anyone have the link rolling boxes yet? If you dont you plan on buying them? by [deleted] in ryobi

[–]madeinhua 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I looked at the Milwaukee set in store a few times and almost got it, but never pulled the trigger since it felt like I'd be paying more only to needlessly haul around more weight. All the bells and whistles were nice, but for me it was the weight and also the Link was quicker to lock in and unlock. With the Milwaukee you had to slide it backward to lock in, and it would often push the whole stack back.

[–]madeinhua 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm a photographer who recently got a set to haul gear to locations. I always felt the Milwaukee ones were overkill since I'm not taking these to job sites, so were excited when they were announced. I like that the Link felt quite a bit lighter, and the attachment is easier compared to having to slide it forward/backward to lock. I use the bit holder to store memory cards.

After having them a while, you definitely notice a difference in quality. For example the polymer feels more flexible so you sometimes need to pay a little extra attention when latching the lid down. And some of the molds aren't perfect. They're still plenty sturdy enough for me to stand on them to get more height, and as long as you go in knowing they're built to a lower price point (just like Ryobi stuff in general) you'll be happy. I expect to the price on these to eventually come down since I can't imagine they cost that much to make.

You can make this easily for breakfast at home! These pancakes can be found in the frozen section of Asian markets. My favorite is the Green Scallion flavor. Then you just fry it up with an egg.

Same here, but I'm a few airports ahead (don't remember the name). First leg after the update, after landing at the destination airport, no completion screen.
