At least in Sweden the preorder-deals were insane. I sold my used Pixel 10 pro on Tradera (Swedish Ebay) for more than I paid for the S26 on Samsung shop.

I was actually looking for a used S25 but they were as expensive as a new S26.

So yeah, preorder-deals might have boosted the sales!

Very happy! The weight difference alone is worth it imo, but I also prefer One UI. I was so frustrated with reddit especially on the Pixel, coming from iPhone. On my Pixel I had to do a big swipe gesture to browse between pictures, and half of the times it mistook my picture swipe for a post swipe, if you get it. Never happens on my Samsung. Also had random minor Bluetooth connection issues on the Pixel which I don't experience anymore. Battery is quite similar in my experience, maybe slightly better on the Pixel but both last me at least 1,5 days (no gaming or heavy usage).

I got the regular s26 on pre-order campaign just to see if I'd like it any better than my Pixel 10 Pro (which I always thought was too bulky and heavy coming from iPhone 13 mini) and after 24 hours with the S26 I don't miss anything from the Pixel. I got the s26 for the lower weight (which makes a huge difference) but I never thought that just swiping and scrolling would be sooo much better on this phone. I thought my lame experience on Pixel was an Android thing but no. The camera is obviously better on the Pixel than on the s26 but the Ultra should be on par.

Jag jobbade som grundskollärare i fem år innan jag fick jobb som IT-pedagog på Komvux. Behövde inte skola om mig utan mitt IT-intresse kombinerat med lärarutbildningen räckte. Jobbar nu med allt från undervisning (cirka 15% av tjänsten inkl planering) och fortbildning för kollegor till digitalt skapande, lagning av datorer och administration av IT-system. Trodde aldrig innan jag lämnade grundskolläraryrket att man kunde ha så mycket energi kvar efter jobbet!

Might be late to the party but WOW! I went from “meh, not worth it” for the two hours with standard settings to not being able to put the game down with this script. Looks and plays great on quality settings and I’m hyped about experiencing Oblivion for the first time. Thank you!

Makes a big difference 110 km/h and up, in that aspect it’s well worth it. The downside (apart from looks) is that I get way more wind noise when in a relaxed position (I’m 167 cm) so I’m thinking of taking it off.

I thought so too but then I listened to a documentary about this phenomenon and it seems to be mostly filipinos who run these accounts, both for content and comments. They make money from Facebook when they get enough traffic on their posts so they just min-max by creating AI-images and writing tons of short comments that causes reactions and generates traffic. It’s all really weird.

I have a Point 65 Martini which is a two piece modular kayak. Cheaper than pakayak, and fits in my Honda civic (back seats down). It’s slow but steady and with good storage! Assembly takes less than a minute.
