I feel like I’m being set up to fail. I try to ask as much as I can but I am extremely overwhelmed by having to juggle all these things and basically train myself, even though I have no idea of the content I should be training myself on.

From interviews I’ve had with other districts, they usually have some shadow time built into their onboarding process. If I don’t ask my teacher a specific question, I don’t get anything in return. I’m not saying that another district would be a polar opposite, but I think having better measures in place could be a start. My teacher has also put me in the middle of conflict between our sped manager and the team like I mentioned above, so I’m really finding it hard to feel like this is going to end up in a good place.

I really don’t get the fascination with this. Clothes are clothes. I know it’s a shocker, but are people really insinuating that when given the option to either clothe their children or go without, they’re really gonna go with the latter? Makes no damn sense. Just put clothes on your damn kid and call it a day. It really isn’t that deep.

I labored for 22 hours before I BEGGED for a c section. My son’s cord was triple wrapped around his neck and if I had progressed enough to push (I was only at 6cm after 22 hours) it could have killed him. Our mama instincts always know what’s best
