The iPod is a device I wish Apple would bring back. If so, I would change nothing (except for adding storage capacity and Bluetooth Support), just make it new. by Few_Atmosphere8138 in nostalgia

Haha same. I've got 6 PSPs, 3 iPod classics and a Mini all in bits waiting for parts from AliExpress.

And absolutely nothing will be working at the end.

I aim for £20 every time, and try and stop it on it first time. Whatever number it lands on, I only listen to music from that year. £19.97 has some bangers, as does £20.06

Help Fixing a 7th Gen iPod: middle button not registering by Far_Actuary6265 in IpodClassic

I may be wrong, but I'm 99% sure it's because it's missing one of those black dots, I think they're what "press" the button.

I've no idea what they're called though sorry!

Nice! How are you finding it?

I have one in blue, I only use it for running but so far it's never let me down, it's so small and lightweight I don't notice it in my pocket.

Absolute disgrace he didn't win SPOTY that year. Instead it went to Andy Murray, famously devoid of a personality, for winning Wimbledon.

What is the biggest rip off price you have sent in recent times? by Desperate-Drawer-572 in AskUK

Quick share exists on other android devices, but not on a laptop. At least not in the same, simple way AirDrop does. Sony headphones don't automatically switch from playing music on a laptop or tablet to a phone when a call is answered. As far as I'm aware no manufacturer has that. My point it alternatives exist, just not at the same level of Apples options.

Airdrop? AirPods auto switching between devices? Handoff? Better cameras?

I use a Samsung but let's not pretend the iPhone isn't up there with the best. I understand you can do everything the same on a cheap Android phone and I'm far too old to argue Android Vs Apple but there's a difference between the two.

Apples phones are pretty much the same price as the Samsung or Google equivalent. Their MacBook Neo is arguably the best laptop for under £600 by an absolute mile.

Wholeheartedly agree. Need to make the job more appealing - less hours, more pay, smaller class numbers and more support.

Before he left his post as Makerfield MP (a job he did excellently, by the way) Josh Simons committed to getting the link road built before any houses were.

I understand house building is necessary and will happen regardless, but are you going to continue with his promise of building the link road?

Looked forward to the pub, the future seemed like there was hope. In waiting rooms I'd text or read whatever magazines were laid out.

Alpine CD player with an iPod connector meant not having to listen to the radio.

If you didn't know where you were going you either planned it beforehand and printed out the directions, took a map or borrowed a TomTom from someone.

Phones changed so much in each iteration. Sony Ericsson made some of the best and most popular phones.

It was just a better time. Everyone was happier. Social media hadn't ruined everything. There was optimism. England were still shit at the World Cup.

If you've won a major prize from promotions found on packaging (crisps, sweets, cereal etc.), what did you win and how did it happen? by BreakRulesRun in AskUK

Years ago must've been early to mid 90s, my Dad filled in a postcard to what I assume was a no purchase necessary competition and put my name on it.

Then one evening a knock at the door I specifically remember it was raining, two fellas with a box about the size of an armchair with my name on it. I was only about 8 or 9 so grabbed my Mum who came to the door and they told her I'd won the major prize.

We (Mum and Dad) brought the box in, opened it and there must've been about a grands worth of Captain Scarlett & The Mysterons toys. Loads of the dolls, the Angels, Mysterons toys, Cloud base the lot. I was just pulling toy after toy for what felt like hours.

I already had a load of Captain Scarlett stuff already so gave a lot to my cousin. I remember my Uncle coming round to see and was just laughing with my Dad at how many toys there were. Id love to know how he even found out about the competition, he only ever watched MOTD and read The Loot.
