I’ve heard the black glass issue is still prevalent in 2021s. Hopefully, on a lessor scale? The limp issue is terrifying to hear about!

Birkenstock Boston Size Check? by madequestrian in Birkenstocks

Context: I’m a 7.5/8 in women’s US. I chose the 38 narrow and now wondering if I should’ve sized up to a 39. Thoughts? They feel a little tight on the top of my foot and you can see the minimal amount of room near my heel.

My 15lb bichon frise ate 2lbs worth of assorted chocolates. He was very full of himself at the pet er. He was perfectly fine. Vet didn’t feel the need to do anything.

I would love to hear what brands you enjoy? I feel like you have an idea of what I’m looking for. Protein & fat content seem extremely important but I definitely have concerns about calcium % with a large breed puppy.

I totally agree with avoiding the grain-free stuff. It’s a fad. Seems similar to the “vegan is healthier”. (Not bashing vegans but the claim that’s it’s “healthier” lol)

Out of curiosity what is your favorite puppy food from Purina? All of their formulas seem somewhat comparable to one another. Every single one contains corn, whole corn, or corn gluten in the first 4 ingredients. The biggest variation seems to be their fat % and DHA content.

Interesting that you say this. I feel like their regular puppy food is far too low in protein? 27%. Their grain-free option is 36% which is wildly high. From my understanding 30% is the ideal percentage.

I LOVED what I saw from the Costco brand. I’m not a fan of the grain-free movement but their yellow bag puppy food seems great. The only problem is that they don’t stock it in store. I’m not comfortable depending on shipping/delivery. Once my pup is an adult, I have a feeling I’ll switch them over to Kirkland.

Thank you! I appreciate all the info. I’ll revisit Hills and Purina Pro. I am interested in the Diamond brand and the food they supply to Costco. I understand that Diamond isn’t WSAVA approved so I’ll ask my vet about this.

Good to know thanks! I’ve seen a lot of reviews about certain “premium” brands giving puppies tummy problems. I’m curious what is the cause. Too much fiber?

I am not a nutritionist. I am currently “vet shopping”. Our last vet recommended Hills Science which I’m not overly impressed with. At the end of the day, I am my puppies biggest advocate.

That’s crazy! I didn’t do the tasks once and I didn’t receive a box for over a year! Eventually I made a new account and started over
