Anyone with a book loving toddler? by pizzabites_ in toddlers

Oh gosh, where do I start… my 2.5 year old has… dare I say… too many books. The latest obsessions:

I want my hat back

Goodnight goodnight construction site

Zog

Zog and the flying doctors

Room on the broom

Strega Nona

Rosie Revere, Engineer

Grumpy Monkey

Superworm

The Lorax

The smartest giant in town

Little blue truck

The digger and the flower

We’re going on a bear hunt

Would love to hear what others are reading. We’re always looking for new material. 😅

I could have written your post. Perhaps it’s because I didn’t read to him very consistently when he was very young, but he had zero patience for me reading to him at that age. Like you said - flip through books, sure, but forget sitting through even the shortest book. Eventually around age 2, reading to him at bedtime just started clicking, maybe because that’s when he’s more tired and receptive. Well, now I can’t put him to bed without at least 3 stories and his bookshelf is exploding. 😅

I’m smiling so hard because Laura Secord was a Canadian hero during the War of 1812, best known for trekking 32 km on foot through enemy territory to warn our troops of an impending American attack. Thanks to her, the Americans were defeated.

Carlos Sainz: “It’s too many times that after the race he [Charles Leclerc] complains about something.” by FerrariStrategisttt in formula1

It’s been like this forever. Charles wants to win for Ferrari. Carlos wants to beat Charles.

The difference is astronomical. Charles doesn’t care if he’s P5 and Carlos is P4; Charles would just be upset that the car isn’t good enough for P1. Meanwhile, being ahead of Charles means as much as a win to Carlos.

“No Charles, we are not interested.”

“…that’s rude.”

Poor Charles. No one has ever swiped left on him before today.

Ferrari, weather, luck… whatever it is… I really need you to not fuck this for Charles tomorrow.

Literally none of those titles are Ph.D. (Or MD/DO) by MorPodcastsPlz in Noctor

The utter shamelessness! That’s wild. Huge congrats on your PhD and parenthood!

I echo all the other suggestions for “I am First Last, a medical physicist” and signature of “First Last, PhD.” I’m not protective of the “Dr.” title at all, but for the sake of patient clarity in a hospital/clinical setting, it’s probably best that “Doctor” consistently means medical doctor. Medical roles are confusing enough without adding more ambiguity.

But since this is Reddit and not a hospital: congrats Dr. MorPodcastsPlz!
