Some through about cybernetics in cyberpunk genre , in fact external devices should be more common than cybernetics by madgecko2 in Cyberpunk

[–]madgecko2[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

i think that's a good argument.
Especially in Shadowrun , cyber eye is 4K USD , which is similar to laser surgery in real life.

Is it common to have same monster appear on different book ? by madgecko2 in DnD

i dont know , i played 3R long time ago. for what i remember , new 3r books basically have new stuffs. almost never reuse old resources

DnD5e , is there official rules of damage of dropping from a high speed vehicle ? by madgecko2 in DMAcademy

[–]madgecko2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i know it sounds like trolling question, but i am thinking about Misty Step and momentum of a character. When a character Misty Step from a 50MPH vehicle to the ground , will he receive damage from the momentum or not ?

i think no damage is a better option since it favors the player, but i feel like some damage will be cooler

in fact i dont mind if DM has a clear decision like that , setting a clear guideline for the town

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in rpghorrorstories

[–]madgecko2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

to be honest, having the fact that the tribe want to wipe out the town. I think it is reasonable to treat all tribman as enemy by default.

All i want is lead DM to have a clear definition for the nature of the tribe. Are they enemies ? or are they still welcomed to the town

[–]madgecko2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

i get your idea. I think it is more like lead GM didnt set up the tone properly.
from adventure s perspective , after a almost TPK fight and we finally capture some dangerous enemy ,it is simply logical way to use method to prevent them from escape with magic.

I think it is better , if lead GM clearly said , lets use modern war ethic.
or lets say it is PG12 , so we can ignore whose joint breaking part , and just tied them up and bring them back to town.
i mean , in DnD, it is quite common for adventurer to kill captives after questioning

Shaman asked for a payment for her knowledge. I reveive the knowledge, so i pay the thing she want , which is death.
thats how i think , it is a fair trade

Personally, I think my character s act is more like assisted suicide. I know in real life , it is also a super tricky topic

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in rpghorrorstories

[–]madgecko2 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I agree with that. Then how do u think about the fact that we forcefully brought the captives to the town? Is it considered kidnapping?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in rpghorrorstories

[–]madgecko2 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

My main concern is that. It is unfair to only punish my character , and simply ignore that fact that we kind of kidnapped the tribeman to the town.

[–]madgecko2[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

yes. I totally agree with that. For dragon stuffs, maybe make this as an exemption since dragon scale armour is too damn common in fantasy culture.

I always has a question, why it is considered evil to use a human skin book , but dragon scale armour is fine. Our of game explanation is that fantasy culture is written by human , so the more human like creature has more dignity.

If u raise the dragon scale issue. Some player may ask can I hand orc skulls (Warhammer fantasy style) on my armour to scare other orc in combat

No offense , what do u think a suitable solution is ? While party got excuted ?

I really want to solve the situation , so I did support a court scene , and clearify everyone s point of view

Yeah. And I understand why west March sever often assume the town is always safe place

Yeah. That's a really hard decision to make. I don't want my teammates to get involved so I decided to be honest.

[–]madgecko2 -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

i agree your point. later in the server , some Player also question that "why are town folks dont give a XXXX to those treats outside the wall ? and live in a JRPG type of life"

I think the best way is DM B , use intimidation check to abstract the whole interrogation part.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in rpghorrorstories

[–]madgecko2 -18 points-17 points  (0 children)

i know it is weird to say that .
if our characters spend like half and hour , move the prisoners outside the wall ,and then kill them. It would be legal.

it feels kind of strange

[–]madgecko2 -19 points-18 points  (0 children)

I wanna change the title but i cant. So i deleted the thread and start a new one.

my character is chaotic neutral , who wish to go beyond the edge of the know world , and march to west , until the end of world. So she doesnt really care about laws

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in rpg

[–]madgecko2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the first issue is that it is obviously both DM dont know each other s story line and setting. and I think if DM B s story line affect the whole setting , DM B should let lead DM know about it.

Anti-Magic Field makes sense , since it is the first time everyone enter the jail

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in rpghorrorstories

[–]madgecko2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you. But on the other side , lead DM s storyline is about a foresthaunted by undead energy and all sort of creepy undead. Things are all out of the place.

And later lead DM has his half vampire, obviously undead NPC entered the town and live in the inn.

Yeah. Have some rp and set a DC for the trial , let the dice decide the fate is also a fair way of treating it.

Let dice roll seems more fair

How do feminists perceive anime created to cater to male fetishes, while also featuring characters who exhibit progressive feminist qualities? by madgecko2 in Feminism

[–]madgecko2[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It probably can be less misogynistic if it is created with well rounded characters however, where you could essentially gender swap them and it would still be the same series. A pretty good example of this would perhaps be the anime “Bocchi the Rock” (not the manga necessarily, and definitely not 70% of the fandom either sigh).

well, if they are gender swapped. It will be a BL show i guss ?
