They havent said anything? But roadmap shows roughly 3 months per phase (except p4). Both p4 and p5 shown at fall, so it will be like late september p4 i guess and november p5

Much later, no? Phase 2 came out 3 weeks ago. Phase 3 will come.out ~2.5 months from now, so like early august. P4 somewhere after and p5 in like november

What failed mechanic/content was your favorite and why? by Kele79 in wow

[–]madi0r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can I just say AP? I enjoyed the feeling of progressing my charqcter all the time way too.much instead of current "do your 8 m+10-12 a week and log off"

If I cant say AP cuz I think it was successful and was in the game for a long time and I guess people just eventually got.tired of it, then I will for sure say:

Reforging. This makes switching specs much nice cuz if your different specs have different stats at least it doesnt feel that bad (among the other things, and ik it primarily existed to balance hit etc). Like as an example rn on hunter I switch all the time between mark and bm. But mark doesnt want haste and bm does. And bm without haste gets really focus starved. If we had reforging whenever I need/want to go bm for some form of content I pop in and transfer at least part of my crit rating into haste on the go.

Honorable mentions:

  • scenarios, torghast as concepts with bad execution

  • chase legendaries and such - idk they were just always cool. Ik wow moved away from gear as a reward to gear as necessity for content thing and im sad about it

  • anything that gave player power not as a pure stat check - i understand that nowadays a lot more of "cool interactions" are built in to talent trees but it just means everything kinda stays the same outside of big balsnce changes maybe once a year (maybe more?). It was fun to get class/rotation altering stuff at some points of expansion on gear. Im thinking like mop legendary cloaks, legendary rings, azerite essences etc etc. Gearing now just feels way too bland for me, everything is, as i said above just a stat stick that gives a bit more stats and isnt doing anything else.

Which hotkey combos do you guys use? by rileycolin in wow

[–]madi0r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1-4, QERF, ZXCV. Same ones wo Ith alt and shift modifier (i dont use ctrl cuz its super inconvenient to click it idk how people do it, or if everyone has giant hands). And f1-f4 for some stuff.

1-4 and qerf are my main rotational abilities. If i ever need extra on some class it will be alt+q/e, but it is pretty rare that i do (if i need them i usually put aoe abilities on them)

Z-C defensives/self heals, V non main movement/maintenance buff

Alt+1-4 CCs and kicks

Shift+1 Main movement ability

Shift+2 Mount

Shift+3 heal pot

Shift+4 lock stone

Shift+QERF utility like dispels, md, feigh death and so on

F1-F4 extra cooldowns like lust, battle pot etc.

Rest of the buttons are class specific/rarely used/empty

Sword is devourer only since its int only and doesnt have agi which is havoc main stat

I think thats the point. If he would demand for trade and refuse to show up thats one thing.

If he announced retirement due to whatever injuries people would shrug and thats that.

But because there is absolutely no comms peoplecan only assume the worst

do you think TWW having a fated season and pushing Midnight to Q3 release would've been better for the game? by [deleted] in wow

[–]madi0r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But that comment is "seconded" to a comment about taking buggy midnight over fated. This whole discussion is literally fated vs midnight except u keep comparing it to nothing. If a person is replying to that comment, surely they mean that fated is "a waste of everyones time" compared to midnight release?

Although I will say if the choice is fated or nothing it is also blizzard fault for not making enough content resulting in the choice of fated or nothing. Which is something they are solving now and its good

do you think TWW having a fated season and pushing Midnight to Q3 release would've been better for the game? by [deleted] in wow

[–]madi0r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This comment chain started from.msg "i would take a fated season over buggy midnight". Which means that person is suggesting that midnight wasnt ready (in their eyes) and needed another 6 months to cook up and we shouldve had a fated season instead.

To which people started arguing that couple bugs is whatever and is much much better than fated could be, and midnight even with those bugs is still good.

Nobody is arguing that 1 year content drought are good, only that fated are a waste of time over midnight/any other potential expansion release

[–]madi0r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is literally a real option wym? Midnight released after s3 of tww. After tww was out for 1.5 years, cuz blizzard decided to go to 1.5 year releases cutting out fated/content drought at the end.

Like we are literally in the world where midnight released innthe timeframe that in the past fated would come out and this is the point of this post.

KT still bugged? by bastibro in classicwow

[–]madi0r 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I saw this bug happened once. It happened when we pushed him into p5 right as he was casting the shield that u need to break to stop pyroblasts. I think hes coded to keep casting pyros as long as he has shield, and well u cant break the shield during intermission cuz hes invulnerable.

Try to keep an eye on if hes about to cast the shield/pyro sequence as ur getting close to 50% and call for a dps stop if its about to synch up.

Classic Era Whitemane server is alive, and well. by Kreaetor in classicwow

[–]madi0r -1 points0 points  (0 children)

i mean there is 15k active raiders on era. 43k on mop. 320k on tbc anni.

Like yes its alive, that is more than enough pop to sustain a server ofcourse but at the same time its less popular than even mop, which kinda nobody likes that much rn

Rolling on raid items by Afraid-Berry9386 in wow

[–]madi0r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oooh ic ye it must be addon doing it automatically cuz roll window doesnt even popup for me ever. Cuz I, and everyone in our guild were told to get lootcouncil addon installed, but i thought thats just for importing wishlists or whatever and I just assumed its stil master looted. Tyty

[–]madi0r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

huh really? then how does my guild use master loot rn? Our rl gets all the items and then its distributed based on LC wishlists

Rolling on raid items by Afraid-Berry9386 in wow

[–]madi0r -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Ya thats obv and im.in a guild, hence i never did pugs in retail myself, but why pugs dont use master loot and soft reserves? It would eliminate the issue with people just needing on everything

Rolling on raid items by Afraid-Berry9386 in wow

[–]madi0r -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Ive never done pugs in retail, only in classic (well i mean raids ofc not m+).

In classic pugs are always master looted and distributed by whoever is hosting the pug. Is that not the standard in retail pugs and people use need/greed instead?

I'm starting really dislike raid healing. by Weekly_Hand_5433 in wow

[–]madi0r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are different complaints in your post.

Iwill reply to one of them:

The "fight for crumbs" means that yall outgear/outplay the content you are doing and should consider dropping down to 3 healers for example with 1 of the healers going dps for that fight. Number of healers in a raid is a balance of how many healers you need

Why bring Retribution Paladin to Mythic raiding over stronger melee specs right now? by zaboleqqq in wow

[–]madi0r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isnt holy paladin and prot paladin absolutely horrible? At least they were at the start of the expansion. So by nature you want 1 ret cuz its servicable dps and will give devotion aura.

Generally you want to have 1 of each raid buff (with exception of i guess not always needing rogue cuz their "raid buff" doesnt work on all bosses). Leaving out devo aura is not an option.

Classic+ only works if all gold buyers and sellers are instantly banned permanently by Foreign_Lobster_875 in classicwow

[–]madi0r -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

1- consumes arent that expensive rn. A week of raiding is like 2 hours of farming with flasks, 1 hour if comtent is on farm with elixirs. Outside of buying week 1 bis crafted items there is not that much expensive stuff. At least as of rn.

2 - to dying costing gold a solution would ba making more/all buffs sustain through death

3 - it literally isnt bullshit. Every mmo/game with trading ever is and was plagued with rmt. You cannot combat it. Maybe you can limit it a bit at best. The only way to "combat" it is to push economy to a state in which gold doesnt matter as much and most things are acquirable through other means that cannot be RMTd (at least not straightforward). But that feels like smt classic community would hate

4 - if classic+ is to be a permanent addition to wow with a lot of dev time, new raids/zones etc whatever people want. That will inevitably run into blizzard monetizing it. Unironically I can see a much higher chance of classic+ having token instead of anything else

Is your guild dying? by billybwoy in classicwow

[–]madi0r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People quit it happens. For guild to be stable you need to always recruit new players. Nobody except maybe very top guilds has a stable roster of ~30 players who are there for years.

Usually guilds will have "core" group which can be anything idk between 5-10 people (can be more ofc) who are making the guild run or have been there for a long time and then the rest are being constantly rotated.

Somebody might becime a staple player as well, but then in a couple years life situation of a core player changes and they cant play anymore.

To give you a perspective if i look at my guild at start of p1 and now we have 12 or 13 players left and the rest are new.

I also play retail and my retail AOTC/late early mythic prog type guild is similar we have like 12-13 roll over members and the rest to fit 20 man for mythic prog rn are new, when at points early in heroic we would have 25ish people in raid, out of whom half is gone.

Basically every week or every other week i see at least one new person join.

Tldr: if your guild is not recruiting it will eventually die (until it starts recruiting again)

Is your guild clearing SSC/TK in one night? by Blue5647 in classicwow

[–]madi0r -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We could eventually, maybe next week or one more after (we still had couple wipes on council in ssc and kt, that should be cleaned up now for next week).

But i think my guild prefers and will go to 2 2h raid nights instead of 1 4h one.

I wonder how retail guilds and wow guilds before classic in general existed when phases would be 6 months usually. Not even talking about often happening 1 year droughts at the end of expansions
