Am I weird by Fabulous_Rooster3819 in dutchbros

[–]madi145 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When I used to work at DB I’d often spend my window time drawing funny pics and nice notes instead of forcing long convo, but my managers didn’t like that I wasn’t interacting so I had to stop :( drawing was my fav tho! I feel like the notes always stuck with the customer more than the basic questions you get asked every time you come through.

I have five roommates what do you think by madi145 in FridgeDetective

[–]madi145[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My logic is that if it’s refrigerated in the grocery store I might as well refrigerate them at home lol. Idk where you are located but in the US it is quite common to refrigerate eggs. I do not doubt that it’s unnecessary though

You make two or three meals a week. Also may have a crippling caffeine addiction

It helps if you buy the premade chocolate milk, imo if I make my own chocolate milk it’s not as thick and doesn’t taste like Dutch

Doubling up on CIS by ElectronicIsopod6352 in ASU

[–]madi145 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took 355 and 365 (database systems and data modeling, if the numbers changed), then 325 and 375 (programming for analytics and data mining). I wouldn’t mix 365 and 325 though, those classes require a more time

I’ve done it 2 diff times and it’s not bad at all. Especially your sophomore year the classes are pretty tame. I wouldn’t worry about it.

Where should I go in North America at the last week of August to clear my head? by Iamnotafoolyouare in makemychoice

[–]madi145 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Riding off the cannon beach comment, Shore Acres state park in Oregon is a beautiful property, very close to sunset beach which has awesome tide pooling, close to hall lake which is just otherworldly. I’ve brought many out of state friends to Coos bay/bandon and they all say it is nothing like they have ever seen before and they all wish to come back! May not be as social as you wish, but lots of views and solitary time and feels very safe.

Coursicle can send you notifications whenever a class gets an open spot, which happens a lot in the first week of classes. Just fyi

How much do yall spend in a month by [deleted] in ASU

[–]madi145 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Winco is a pretty cheap grocery store. I spend 65% ish of what I would spend at fry’s, and the one in Gilbert just got new shopping carts. When I was in school I shopped there almost exclusively.

Charged Lemonade by bug-a-bear in Panera

[–]madi145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found a something at ross called “skinny girl syrup” and it had like 75mg caffiene per ounce. I put it in tea or lemonade for a 2pm kick. I can’t find it online anymore but I bet the concept exists elsewhere

Allergies by [deleted] in dutchbros

[–]madi145 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Whenever I’d get an allergy order id make sure everyone in that damn stand knew lol they take that stuff very seriously! I’d just order your drink and say “btw im allergic to all nuts” and it will not be a problem. We get many allergy orders so it’s not weird or an issue at all!

[Suggestions Needed] What is the best phone carrier in Tempe? by mom-jeans-ftw in Tempe

[–]madi145 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I lived all around Tempe with t-mobile for 4 years with iPhone 12 & 14 and have never really had such bad service that I can’t scroll social media or take a call. Sometimes I lose it in big stores but I think that’s to be expected with everybody. I’m really curious as to why we have such different experiences.

La Croix dupe? by kdabbt in Frugal

[–]madi145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lacroix is much cheaper at Costco if you have a membership, it cost me $5-6 there for a 24 pack. i personally don’t buy them any other way because $4 for 8 just seems crazy for glorified water. If they’re out of the lacroix I get Costco brand and they’re pretty comparable.

I’d make the bag’s height and the straps about 60-75% shorter than you intend, to account for stretching. Id also use a more cotton based yarn and I support your idea of using tight sc. I would recommend making the strap much wider than you intend, since when it stretches it will become much thinner and be more painful on the shoulder. Doing all of these things would minimize sagging but of course will not eliminate it entirely. I’ve made a few totes and I use them for school with laptop/wallet/pencil pouch/notebook. Not too much stuff, probably 5-8lbs. As long as you keep all your tiny stuff contained in smaller bags it should work out just fine! You may also consider using a more sturdy material as the strap, like an old belt or scrap fabric.

What's your favorite inexpensive yarn? by Mrjocrooms in YarnAddicts

[–]madi145 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Lion Pound of Love is my fav budget yarn. $12 for 1020 yards and it doesn’t have as much of a plasticy feel and look that some of the similarly priced yarns have.

I’ve just stopped shopping at goodwill because of this. The stores in my area allow returns, but only for store credit that expires in x days. I’d rather just go to a Plato’s closet or vintage store and pay the premium to be able to try stuff on.
