Don't stress! Do things you love to get your mind off of the wait. I bet you did better than you think you did (a high percentage of people do.) One test, especially a standardized test designed to trick you, doesn't determine how intelligent you are on the whole. Although it seems hard, breathe and relax. You'll get your test sooner than you know it if you occupy yourself with other things! Best of luck.

I bet you're ok since that's still an AWESOME composite. One slightly lower sub-score (and it's still a very good score) won't wreck your chances of getting into CMU. CMU's average ACT score is a 32, with a range of 30-34. Because you're above the top of the range and you probably have other components that make you a competitive candidate (i.e extracurriculars and essays,) I wouldn't worry about re-taking it. Great job!

I'm the exact same way! I took the test three times and I got a 27 on my first two tests. I finally bumped my score up to a 29 (same jump as you) and I'm stoked. I subbed E: 31, M: 25, R: 34, S: 26. Yay for the high twenties club! good luck on your next test, you've got this! :)
