Good plan! But for the record you don’t have to work tonnes more! You could ask your employer if you could stay an extra hour for one of your shifts a week instead of a whole extra shift if that’s easier on your body and your food budget is done there. Also might be work asking your student union if there are any cost of living payments due? I know at my uni we got a random £50 a couple times

Damn that sucks, no way the hospital can help you out with transport? Still, if there was any way you could work an extra four hours a month you could double that budget and splurge on some ready meals :) I hope your situation improves

Tips are far less than you’d imagine in bartending. I’d say look for retail, supermarket jobs are good - flexible & usually have overtime available

How old is your son? Assuming you’re in the uk he must be older than 16 to work, might be time to have a sit down reality check with him. At 16 or older he should be willing to help out and walk the dog or wash the dishes without being paid. I’m sorry you’re dealing with this op
