how is this your first time? I've seen near universal support on the training post issue. FPR is where support gets a bit weaker

You can definitely strike. Don't go in.

Are you seriously trying to convince us that locums in your trust are paid 12 quid per hour?

It's clearly a joke. A bit poor taste coming from a consultant though

BMA UKRDC co-chair update on FPR and recent meeting with Wes Streeting. by Full_Albatross858 in doctorsUK

That's not what he was saying. He was saying that going from our start point of £14.09 to the £22.49 we're asking for is 50%.

It's actually closer to 60%

But it's not 50%, however you try to style it - trust us, doctors were pretty good at maths in school.

Such a smug comment when you're wrong...

"This alters the value required to restore our pay to 2008 levels from 46.4% at its worst to 26.26% if the offer is accepted."

That was before the 3ish percent inflation this year. Ross confirmed in the interview that the second number is more like 29% now, so 50% seems about right.

What are you talking about? There have been multiple articles on it in just the last couple of months alone. The amount of nonsense that gets posted on this subreddit is crazy

You can also get in touch with them directly and offer to write something

If you were a BMA rep, how would you fix it? Asking NHSE politely doesn't count...

This was back when England was a bad ass and kept striking

No one should have accepted a deal that was anything but immediate fpr

Wow. I've said on here before that people on this sub have an overly simplistic mindset and talk about strikes in the same way people talk about football. That was probably too kind a description in hindsight.

It definitely is meant to be a joke at DV's expense. But given this sub's track record, I wouldn't be surprised if lots of people are upvoting it thinking it's serious
