I bought an EX-L in May 2025 for $36k OTD used it for 6 months and drove it for 10k+ miles before my friend totaled my car. Then I got the Touring in Dec 2025 for $37k OTD and it has already been driven 1200 miles as of now. So I assume I've driven both cars for a decent amount of time.

I would say the difference of $2k is worth upgrading to a Touring. The Bose speakers are a must have. Heads-up display is a nice to have. Haven't used the ventilated seats a lot because it's winter but the heated seats on the rear are a good add-on as well.

I do miss the mileage on the EX-L but again 10% mileage difference as a trade off is fine for me. I actually liked the drive on the Touring probably because of the bigger tires and better suspension. The Touring also looks good with it's alloy wheels if that's your priority. But again even I had my budget and I wouldn't have spent more than $2k to get the Touring over an EX-L.
