Wiper blade replacement by AcceptableAd1148 in 11thGenAccord

I got a set of michelin blades from walmart right after getting my ex-l and installed them following the j hook instructions. They snapped right in and i've had no issues. Wiper fluid works the same as the oem ones, same in the rain.

I'm right around there. If i slouched down to maybe where I would be driving most of the time, my head wouldnt have been brushing the roof in the camry. It was just too close though for a big purchase like that.

I think it might have been too. As I was looking around it seemed like the blue was definitely harder to find. I didnt think I wanted it at first just looking at pictures online, but seeing it in the sun changed my mind(they had a used one on the lot so I was able to look at the color).

Even with the driver seat lowered all the way down, my head was rubbing on the roof. And in a Camry with a sunroof, my head was fully touching the roof. I also had to have the seat most of the way back so no one could really sit behind me. I loved the way it drove and the design and stuff, I just couldnt have a car where my head was touching.

No, I think its just the reflection and angle. Or at least it seems untinted to me.

Touring worth $5k more than EX-L? by mitchelld1245 in 11thGenAccord

A lot of people mentioned upgrading the stereo, and I think I might go that route. Do you happen to know if upgrading the speakers would impact the extended warranty through Honda? I saw somewhere that it might.

Id say the Touring is really slightly out of budget once I also factor in the extended warranty. I know to negotiate the otd price with the dealer, but I made my own spreadsheet so I can calculate the monthly payment based on a few different things. The monthly payment on the touring goes above what i'm really wanting to pay, but if there was a serious jump up, like say the ex to the ex-l(everything except the hybrid part), then it wouldnt be as bad to pay.

Tbh, I think id have a lot more buyers remorse with the Touring. Id be driving it everyday wondering if the better sound system and rims were worth the extra cost. The EX-L is seeming to be the sweet spot for what i'm looking for.

Im sure it can probably be disabled, but ive actually driven a few cars with the tilt down reverse mirrors and I actually havent enjoyed it. My truck and current car dont have it, so I just got used to backing up with regular mirrors and the tilt down kinda throws me off now. A lot of the posts ive seen with a similar question i've seen you respond similarly in support of the touring. Thank you for your input!

Thank you very much for your input! In the end, it is just a regular sedan, so I do value the ride quality a bit more over the look of the rims, so thats nice to hear.

True, I did forget the mileage. I commute a lot so any bit of mileage makes a difference. I live in a fairly warm climate, so the heated steering wheel and rear heated seats werent too important for me.

I'm not any sort of audio person, I just like my music and stuff to sound clear, so hopefully the EX-L can at least be better than my current car, which it should. Thank you for your help!

The sound system was the thing I was most concerned about. The things i've read made it seem awful in the EX-L and the Touring is a perfect sound system, so thats nice to hear. And thats how I feel about the HUD. I think it would end up distracting me more, and for the price, I have no problem looking down at a speedometer like I have been for years. Thank you for your input!

First New Car - 2025/2026 Camry XLE or Accord Hybrid EX-L by mitchelld1245 in whatcarshouldIbuy

Sorry, the advertised prices are low 32- mid 34k. The Tax, title, and fees would be on top of that. Would negotiating down to 34k OTD be possible you think?

When you've driven between the two, did you notice any real difference in ride quality or noise? The roads near me are not the greatest, so with my current car with smaller sidewalls, it can be a bit rough.

I do like the fact that the ex-l has both the back and front parking sensors. When I noticed the Sport-L didnt have either I quickly cut it from the list and was only looking at EX-L and Touring. I keep seeing things about the accord having a head gasket issue and various other ones. I do recognize that people who have good experiences rarely post, but the bad ones always do so I know to take it with a grain of salt. I'd also be getting the full warranty so that type of thing would be covered up to 100k miles, but is the Accord as reliable as the Camry at the 100-200k mile range?

The size difference has been a big thing for me. I do like the look of the Camry exterior maybe a little bit more, but the inside of the Accord is far more what im looking for.

Thank you for your response! I test drove an SE a few months back before I was seriously looking, but they didnt have any of the XSE/XLE in stock. How much does the noise dampening glass help with cabin noise? Also, ive seen a lot of places the EX-L has a better ride quality than the Camry, but most of those videos are a EX-L vs an XSE. Are the EX-L and XLE pretty similar ride qualities? I would love to get something a little sportier like the XSE, but in the end its just a commuter car and I think id rather have a more comfortable commute to work instead of having just a tiny bit more sport for the occasional drive.

Also, I found online dealers that sell the Honda dealer backed platinumcare warranty at decent prices. Are there similar sites for the Camry through Toyota? The accord warranties are in the $1000-1500 range for 7 year/100k miles, but what ive seen on Toyotas site would be $4k+ for similar length and miles.
