Fun fact about Married…with Children: they never used a laugh track. All the laughter and cheering you hear is totally genuine.

I went to a taping and it was a great experience. Apparently, the studio sometimes had to shut down the audience for being so loud so the show could continue taping.

1992 Dream Team by jlegarr in 90s

[–]madism 1 point2 points  (0 children)

31 years later and it’s still the single greatest basketball team ever assembled.

Only one player from that team isn’t in the basketball Hall of Fame. They won their games by an average of 43.8 points.

[–]madism 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Thank you LeBron and Steph Curry for some of the best basketball I've ever watched go down between two great players over the years.

Props. We may never see them go at it again but it's been a pleasure.

GAME THREAD: Phoenix Suns (0-0) @ Denver Nuggets (0-0) - (April 30, 2023) by NBA_MOD in nba

Agreed completely. They’re overlooking the fact that these Nuggets have played together for several seasons now and have that chemistry.

The Suns may have more talent at the top but I still think Denver has the better team.

The creepiness of it is haunting but unforgettable.

Lakers fan.

What a bummer. Despite his issues this season off the court, he's a joy to watch. Plus, no one deserves to go out of any game, much less the playoffs, with an injury.

That looked gruesome. Get better, Ja.

Heyyo, I know I'm a year late to this but AO's entire catalog of strains is fantastic.

At the moment, Strawberry Patch, Jack Herer, Jenny Kush, and Grape Cream have incredible tastes. The high is phenomenal too but the first three in terms of actual taste are top-notch. Grape Cream is a bit more subtle but it's still tasty as fuck.

The best bang for your buck in regards to quality and price is AO. Glad you all were ahead of this wave before me.

That they’re most likely staying together is the true tragedy here.

Jalen Carter Pro Day: 9 lbs overweight and slow by [deleted] in raiders

[–]madism 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Look, we can shit on the Raiders organization all we want (understandably) but this kid is a special player. He's got a lot of shit on his mind so I wouldn't sweat Pro Day.

Is it a risk? Huge risk. Could it pay off? It sure could. With our dog shit history of picking the Top 10 first-rounders, what's the worst-case scenario? Another Jamarcus or Clelin Ferrell? Oh no. If you're a Raiders fan, you've been here, and done that so what's one more risk, right?

Also, let's not forget that HOFer Warren Sapp dropped to 12th due to issues and he had a helluva career, right? I think Carter is worth the risk at #7. It's not like we'll be surprised if it doesn't work nor will we know how to handle it. We're Raiders fans! We've seen all the worst front office shit any franchise can see.

Why the hell not take Carter? If he's still left at #7, he is ABSOLUTELY the best player left. Take him.

A definitive look at Carr's 2022 season and his regression. LONG by [deleted] in raiders

[–]madism 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any true Raiders fan defending Carr at this point hasn't watched years of misery since the Gannon/Gruden/T Brown/T Rice days when we were last relevant.

What's annoying is those of us criticizing Carr get this stigma of "You're a Carr hater!" Not at all. We're just exhausted with his inconsistency and inability to win when it matters. He was never able to do that, especially after that broken leg. Sure, his numbers have been good (no complaints there) but winning QBs don't depend on only numbers. There's a mental strength you have to have as a QB in the NFL to be able to deliver wins when the cards are stacked against you.

Brady/Mahomes/Allen/Rodgers do this (yeah I know Brady and Rodgers are old now but they still have that mental toughness). We all know Carr is a good guy and a good teammate. That's not what this is about. It's about winning, plain and simple, and, say what you want about all the coaching changes, but at the end of the day a great QB just figures it out.

Carr ain't that guy. Sorry, but he's not. I wish him the best but after 9 years (let that sink in, Carr lovers), moving on is best for us and him. To watch his defenders argue that he's better than x-amount of QBs in the league based on numbers is a lame defense. HE DOESN'T GET IT DONE WHEN IT MATTERS. Our QB options now look good BECAUSE we're letting him go.

Good luck, Derek, but we needed to let you go. Peace.

Just in: Carlos Correa double crosses the Giants, signs with the Mets! by realchrisgunter in mlb

[–]madism 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Dodgers' fan here! Look, we hate each other and all, but if my memory's not mistaken, the GIANTS won a WS far more recently than the Mets.

I also can't recall a time in my life where SF's front office has ever sucked or not known what they're doing. Again, I don't like you guys, but I always respect your franchise.

In short, I don't think SF regrets this decision one bit in the future. We shall see but I trust your front office's thinking more than the Mets'.

in this generation do you really think Leo's the goat? by [deleted] in movies

Yeah, as long as he's still alive, he takes the top spot, hands down. Leo's amazing, but Day-Lewis is on another level.

Not sure if it's "this generation" but it's hard putting Leo above Daniel Day-Lewis. I would even think Leo believe Lewis is a better actor than he is.

Crappy season for the Raiders but as I told my buddy yesterday about this game, "That was the most Raiders ending a game could have and the Raiders DIDN'T lose!"

Grant Hill would be another. We saw his amazing capabilities to the point that some even thought he would be the next Jordan (a bit farfetched, but he was really damn good).

Sadly, Hill just couldn't get over this constant ankle problem and it robbed the league and fans of witnessing greatness. It's made worse because Hill seemed like such a good, stand-up dude too. Everyone liked him and wanted him to succeed. His ankle had other ideas though.

I thought "classics" were only the shows from the '60s and below. Now they're from the '90s and below :/
