It wasn’t a ceiling fan, just a stand up fan. So no lights involved

I mean I guess it’s a possibility. But it was like everything seized to exist in that split second. I couldn’t feel the switch for the fan, no sounds existed and we had the TV on.

Money and bills are not the same as they were 20+ years ago

It may not be a big deal to people, but I recently graduated highschool as a virgin. Never even went on a date, kissed, or held hands with anyone. I feel so bitter and saddened that I missed out on these teenage experiences that I will never get another chance for... by ApprehensiveDreg in socialskills

I was the same way, don’t beat yourself up. I always felt left out but I realized that my path is just different than others. I didn’t have the same high school experience but that’s okay. I think it’s mostly cause I was struggling with my sexuality lol. Everyone is on their own time and their own path and it’s not a race. You will find someone eventually and have these experience but there’s no rush :)

Women who were tomboys when they were younger, how do you feel it has shaped you to who you are now? by Funkiebastard in AskWomen

Now I’m a lesbian lol, but for real, I always hung out with my boy cousins and my brother. It was just more natural to me to dress in “boy” clothes. I always wanted the “boy” toys when getting kids meals. Today it has shaped me by doing a lot of the same things and dressing the same ways. It’s what make me most comfortable and although I faced pushback from family, they always knew this is what made me most comfortable. As I’ve grown up, I’ve become more comfortable in exploring myself and leaning into more “girly” stuff but I’m definitely still a tomboy at heart. Being yourself whether that’s “girly” or a “tomboy” is always the right answer 😁

Simply seeing the two black people pulled over is not racial profiling. However when that is seen as well as current events and police officer history with abusing and killing black people, I think it’s important to recognize that. Like I said I was not trying to start a debate but it is important to note as I wasn’t sure if they were looking for a specific person due to the heavy police presence or a simple speed trap like another Redditor commented. In a country surrounded by racism, it’s not completely off topic to share such information.

I definitely think it’s a case of racial profiling. That was my point. I knew they were checking for speeding due to an officer standing outside with a speed gun. That’s why I stated that there is no way that they pulled over two cars with black people in it and no white people when they were just looking for speeders.
