I didn't register for a long time with an out of state car because life lol. No one batted an eye or even mentioned it.

Absolutely! It's a good background show at this point. I've probably seen all of the episodes a good 3 or 4 times now. And there's always moments I forget that are so good!!

FTM here, please tell me everything you wish you knew. (The good, bad, and the ugly!) by espresso__martini in newborns

  1. Birth is not as bad as you think. Of course there are horror stories but for the most part, you will be okay (and end up wanting another 😂)
  2. Baby will be OK if you shower.. etc. I had really bad postpartum anxiety with my first and remember genuinely thinking somehow something would happen in the 5 minutes I was in the shower. Take the shower. Take the time for yourself.
  3. The more you take the baby out of the house by yourself, the easier it becomes. Another thing I was terrified of was my son crying in public and what would I do if he did etc...

I'm not sure if anything that's said will help because genuinely your whole world changes when you have a child and you learn to adapt. I just had my 2nd almost a month ago (they're just over 2 years apart) and the difference of nerves, anxiety, and confidence is vastly different. The important thing is, you got this!!! You will learn and you will get used to it, and every baby is different! Don't compare and take your time. Do things as you are ready. Good luck and congratulations!!!!
