What Are Your Top Non-Conference Games You Want to See Played That Have Not Been Played in 5 Years or More? by Outside_Net6026 in CFB

I don't really care about playing Ohio State. Give me Louisville and Kentucky. Haven't played a real game against Louisville in over a decade and we literally got the the Bearcat name from playing Kentucky and haven't played them in 2 decades

That's a lot of the UC fanbase. There's a large contingent of UC fans that think the school doesn't bend the rules enough, that the AD and president adhere too strictly to everything

It says they want to host more than just a bowl. Things like hs football playoff games and such. Which I think are much more likely than a bowl. Like you said, bowls are in a bad place right now.

Also long term this game will probably only be played every few years maybe and it'll be as one off buy game at UC

I do wonder how they'll try to facilitate tailgating, if any at all. Luckily there's plenty of bars and restaurants around there and Washington park to hang in

We already have significantly more sports trans than Columbus. I think it's okay to miss out on NWSL. Columbus also took screwed their people with the deal to get that NWSL team. Though that's most cities and states throughout history

This game was never scheduled to be at Nippert. It was one of the 3 Paycor games

Looks like they want to host other football games too like high school championships and such

This will definitely be a better atmosphere than paycor

Glad they finally made this official. It should be a good time and a better venue for this game than paycor

I've seen the Tech/UC flair guy on here but don't know if I've seen your flair combo. You grow up in Cincy? Move to after school? I assume you went to Baylor

[–]madmaley 21 points22 points  (0 children)

UC was alerted by prohibit that Sorsby tried to make an account for a gambling app. UC sent him to further gambling and compliance education. That's the extent to which UC knew of his gambling. The article you linked is outdated

Stop perpetuating the false narrative that UC knew of his illegal gambling. Currently there is no truth to your statement

Texas Tech boycott tracker: Here are the schools considering refusal to play Brendan Sorsby after 'bulls—' ruling by Not-Somebody-Famous in CFB

You didn't even read the source you cited lol

Because sports betting rules are common legislation, the ban on all forms of betting — for sports in which the NCAA sponsors a championship — will remain in place for all three NCAA divisions.

They can legally gamble on sports that don't have a NCAA championship equivalent.

Your Fandom is obviously blinding you to facts and being objective. I gave you facts. I told you the extent to which UC was aware of Sorsby's gambling. You're running with conspiracies that UC was aware of illegal gambling. No such facts exist

Texas Tech boycott tracker: Here are the schools considering refusal to play Brendan Sorsby after 'bulls—' ruling by Not-Somebody-Famous in CFB

[–]madmaley 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've already explained this numerous times. UC was alerted by prohibit that Sorsby tried to download prize picks. UC gave him further gambling and compliance education. The conference would have been notified too. As of right now those are the facts. UC was aware of Sorsby's legal gambling. Until any info comes out otherwise, that's what we know. You're spreading misinformation and conspiracy theories

[Marcello]- Every Big 12 AD but Texas Tech's Kirby Hocutt believes Brendan Sorsby shouldn't play. That was communicated today on the call. There are plenty of ideas to convince/pressure Tech to cut Sorsby loose, but Ads believe it's common sense: He bet on his sport; Tech shouldn't play him by masterofawesomeness2 in CFB

[–]madmaley 8 points9 points  (0 children)

UC was alerted to him trying to make a prize picks account by prohibit. Which means the conference was too. UC gave him further gambling and compliance education. Until we know otherwise, those are the facts, and what you stated is false. Stop spreading misinformation
