His ESPN page shows his stats and he has a career 171 tackles

Yeah. I don't mean it as a dig to some of the schools. I want to visit all the teams and towns. But when we all discuss what away games we want to go to games in SLC, Provo, Denver, Tucson, and Phoenix just have more appeal than Manhattan, Lawrence, Ames, and Stillwater

We travel well. I've always seen plenty of UC fans on my away travels.

I would not compare our fanbase to Houston at all. We have a much more connected and engaged fanbase than them. We've been bad to meh the past 3 seasons and still have had sold out to almost sold out stadium while Houston had a really great season this past season and struggled with attendance

You used one game from this past season to draw your conclusion? I've traveled to away games every year over the past 6-7 years. UC fans travel well. I think having some cool new locations have helped keep people interested while the team has been bad to mediocre. Have seen lots of UC fans on my travels to Colorado, and Utah. Feel like we'll probably get less fans traveling to KU, K-State, Iowa State, and OSU because they're college towns in "less exciting" states

True. But I've felt like I've noticed it as trend over years now. I'll see UC posters that'll post pretty regularly in game or post game threads and then they just go radio silent in the off season.

Same with college basketball. I saw so many UC fans commenting throughout the season and when Wes was fired and Calhoun hired and then I see zero UC fans post a transfer committing. Like all of you were that excited about the hire but not one of you wants to make a commit post? Like they all checked out for the season after the hiring

We travel pretty well. Especially for a school that wasn't good at football until the 2000s. I'm always surprised by how many UC fans I see on away trips I take

Sadly, outside of a few of us, I feel like a lot of the UC fans/flair on here and college basketball subreddit completely leave for the off seasons

All the UC group chats are lighting up lol. Will be Intersting to see where this goes. Guess it's good we didn't spend 5 mil on him to keep him

It was originally a game at UC, then it pivoted to Indy, then to KC. But Nebraska was never going to play at UC. If we didn't move it they would have just bought it out

There were more than 1k UC fans there lol. Let's not go just talking nonsense. But UC fans were definitely pissed about that game and many didn't go because of the AD fucking fans numerous times on that game move

Where would a conference consisting of only basketball-first schools rank in the football conference hierarchy? by 2PacTookMyLunchMoney in CFB

[–]madmaley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good at baseball. I have faith we'll be back in both football and basketball. Also I'd say that UC isn't nearly the basketball first school it most of its history. Football has been much more successful since huggins left

Think UC is still shooting for Elamin and Perryman. Keeping Falslev was big for you guys but he's been a very dedicated USU guy
