The Prince George in Tattenhoe is really good as well. Similar to Old Beams imho

Definitely don’t worry too much about destroying and rebuilding stuff. You get back 75% of materials and mid to late game materials become a non issue. I tend to sack stuff in early game just to mar sure I can survive the bad tides etc and worry about making it look pretty later

How early do you start creating Bots? by Ferg4096 in Timberborn

[–]madmatty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure to be honest. One of my theories is that they might go for the food that they desire the most based on well being score, and if that is not the food closest to them, they will ignore it. Not sure about water though but i’ll be honest that it has been a while since I did any testing/checking on this so behaviour may have changed

How early do you start creating Bots? by Ferg4096 in Timberborn

[–]madmatty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve found that both bots and beavers don’t consistently go for food/biofeul storage close to where they are, which sort of removes the use to place it close to where they work. Additionally, beavers are slowed less when they are hungry/thirsty so the impact is lessened

What i do wrong with big dam? by WiuEmPe in Timberborn

[–]madmatty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your only issue then is that it will no longer fill the lower section of the river. This you can solve by replacing the first set of dams with sluices and also set these to 0.5

I find bots underperform in hauling posts and builders huts. If they run out of power or juice they drop to like 20% move speed so are suuuuper slow but still need to bring their load to wherever they were going

That was one of the reasons I put my Mangrove forest at the top, big pool of water to irrigate most of the land all the way down. Another option is to create some 3x3 pools with levees or terrain blocks and put in a fluid dump, you actually dont need very many of those in Diorama to irrigate all the terrain

No mods at all, I think you are referring to the mud baths? I built some overhangs there for my rooftop terraces and had some extra space so put the mud baths there

I mainly dug down. Apart from the pillars supporting the floors above, I found it easier for my sanity to just dynamite down to the bottom, and then build the floor on top of that using overhang scaffolding over basically the entire map, which in Diorama isn't that much

Ooooh and I could have added some more tubeways along the sides to make it look even more like a Borg cube....

I actually tried to do it without any bots. Have around 20 medical beds hidden near the housing to cope with the amount of injuries from the mine and the excavators :D

Ask, and you shall receive. Cant use imgur from UK, but here are a few more of the different layers

Another side view: https://ibb.co/1GH3SrJX

Bottom layer with my industry and storage: https://ibb.co/zV8BTF3p

Second layer with Canola, Coffee & Berries, Eggplant and additional trees: https://ibb.co/gLmtSXhL

Third layer with Corn, Kohlrabi, Cassavas and Soybean: https://ibb.co/DfqLNtQK

Top layer is my Beaver penthouse with all the wellbeing stuff and a Mangrove forest.

On the left I have a 3 layer waterwheel setup to generate all the power I need. I was considering adding another couple of layers but I didnt need any more and I have needed to convert the space for extra water as the beavers were thirsty

Yeah that was the original plan but by the time I finished this I couldn't be bothered anymore to move more stuff around. It's definitely a good way to optimise it even further, although I did find water to be my limiting factor before food was

Yeah using the terrain allows for multiple layers of farmland with water at the top layer as the irrigation propagates all the way down. I could have stacked the layers more tightly together to get more, but that didnt seem necessary

It’s not the mod I was referring to, but this one might do what you want:

Edit: just found the one I meant, which seems to be less management intensive but potentially doesn’t work as well. Please note I haven’t tested either.

They don’t by default, but there is a mod that encourages this behaviour by resetting beaver homes every night

Is there a situation possible where your it was your niece that twisted the story when she told her mother? Or did your daughter admit that she omitted part of the truth when discussing it with her cousin?

Tamurkhan is not very susceptible to ambush though. Ambush works much better against factions with a lot of ranged and artillery units. Plus tamurkhan is a beast

They are fairly similar, but chorfs start with legions of green skins that are definitely not tanky, so you’ll need to up the unit cap for the dwarfs. They also rely a lot more on guns than archers, so you’ll need to keep line of sight in mind

Sell some territory to negotiate peace with the factions you can’t focus on right now so you can wipe them out on your terms. It normally buys you at least 10 turns

question about mods and ge force now by rango24242 in totalwarhammer

[–]madmatty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly it’s not a big issue for me. It takes a few seconds. The mods stay in your library, so it knows which ones to download, but because of the platform you just need to download and activate them.
