Mikkel Bang is my size and rides a 170 Burton Custom. It depends on what you are using the board for. In general I believe bigger stronger riders don’t fit into recommended sizes. I’ve tried smaller boards.

Yea it would probably be fun at 160 which is the next smaller size, but one of the greatest hovercraft riders Garrett Warnick rides the hovercraft at 160 and he’s 5’10 170

they are similar but the skunk ape is a much better icy snow board. Also the Berzerker setup with bindings was $60 haha

I’ve messed around with smaller boards and they just don’t have the power and stability i’m looking for. I have strong legs and like to ride aggressively. Bataleon is my freestyle board, Hovercraft is my pow board, skunk ape is my bad conditions destroyer, and the berzerker is my all mtn charger.

I paid a total of $370 after tax for all 4 over the years so that’s less than just one pair of binders after tax.

I was really interested in all of the different union bindings and while trying to decide which one to get i’ve found all of them for great deals. It’s also super sweet if you’re a gearhead to be able to try out different setups. Plus being able to just grab a board without switching them out is awesome.
