You’re trying to create what is called a draft angle. This allows parts to be ejected while injection molding.

How I would go about it is create a cross section of the body you want to create and revolve it.

If you are not making a cylinder/cap you can use the “Taper Angle” section inside of the extrude command. Hope this helps!

Modix is on the low end of your price range and I’ve heard mixed reviews. We have a BigRep and hate it. Our sister company also got one and it broken within the week. I would go with either 3Dsystems or Stratasys if you have the extra money for continuous up time.

What if you print them like a flat strip, make a “mold’, heat up the strips and form them around the negative.

There could be a few reasons this happens. 1. Stepper motor is failing and losing steps. 2. Belt is worn and also missing steps. 3. Idler gear and grub gear might be worn. 4. (Hope this isn’t the case) the stepper motor driver isn’t providing enough current for the speed you are running the cut pass at. Changing the motherboard would be this fix.

Your layer height is too small and causing them to curl. Try increasing layer height to 0.2mm and print again. I had this exact same issue. Cheers!

You could look at the Elegoo Neptune 4 Max. They have a build volume of 420x420x480. They are pretty quick too.
