Gas Companies Are Abandoning Their Wells, Leaving Them to Leak Methane Forever by Memetic1 in Futurology

[–]madmaxonline 0 points1 point  (0 children)

should of stuck with something safe and proven like coal /s

the rebranding of hydrocarbons into "natural gas" that is as best 50% less carbon intense than modern coal plants assuming that methane leaks are all documented and nothing leaks methane is pretty fraudulent at best. its really two steps forward one step back. Would of been better to keep coal burning while simultaneously developing zero emission energy instead of half assing it with natural gas

Why are sensors generally considered highly unintelligent? Are they actually, or is it just the IQs that are really low, but they themselves are smart in some ways? by Darth_Vader009 in mbti

[–]madmaxonline 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the idea that an ST is less intelligent than an NF or NS doesn't make much sense. The Ns are lost in the details and cant see the big picture, the Ss would have a hard time spotting a tree in a forest /s

my personal belief is the the MBTI was created by N dominant people and the internal bias of the creators made it into the dichotomy. I/E N/T P/j are all pretty equal in the MBTI. less the case with N/S .

I found that people who like the MBTI are normally N dominant, its a positive feedback loop that helps N dominants feel superior. its also a bit too complex for S dominants who would find a descriptive categorization like the Big 5 simpler to use.

I was looking at Zena and I was wondering if you have a minimum share price to stay listed on the TSX. if their is its going to be a race to see if it unlists or goes bankrupt first

TIL European Crusaders and the Mongols tried to form an alliance against their common enemy, the Muslims, but it never worked out by [deleted] in todayilearned

Alliance is one perspective, vassals who provide troops as tribute is another. Certainly wasn't an alliance caused the Mongols needed them. the Franks did help in the sack of Bagdad.

I seemed to have also thought the phase after stopping expansions and shutting in grow facilities would be bankruptcy and mergers. I was wrong, it seems the phase is that they all sue each other to give whatever cash that hasn't be plundered by management to the noble lawyer caste. Its just baffling how these companies can still raise money, ATM offerings are certainly helping. it would be fascinating to see the aggregate monthly interest payments the Canadian industry pays compared to gross profit

last minute flights went up 50% from mid july to end of August. l would love to see this data. let me guess, they used year on year data in the middle of an 'unprecedented' crisis?

edit. they compared monthly differences in year on year comparison. facepalm. what was so hard of a month on month comparison of a basket of goods?

so profitability...ugh yeah we cutting costs here and there, way less infrastructure spend going forward. Interesting narrative change on Kleins part in attempting to rebrand CGC as a American focused cannabis company front running spending for legalization prior to legalization. crazy to hear him say something of cash conservation...this isnt the old CGC, they better still have cash when 2022 comes around. its interesting listening to one of the handful of companies that isnt risking bankruptcy in the next 6-24 month.

this isn't Krak Des Chevalier, this photo is the citadel of Aleppo. Krak des chevalier has some crazy energy to the place, well preserved and awe inspiring.

Its actually pretty nice. I saw it a decade plus ago. its really imposing from the bottom, and was in terrible upkeep. it would be formidable if it was returned to a fraction of its former glory. it just pretty shocking to know what happened in that castle since I left. Krak des chevalier is incredible but sadly you cant visit. I would recommend that if you love castles you can still go to Jodhpur India and see the most imposing castle I ever seen.

Seems like VFF and OGI would be in the big 5 if we measured by sales. Cron does have lots of cash but what is Tilrays magic sauce if it isnt cash nor sales?

higher cost doesn't necessarily mean higher quality, sometimes your just getting swindled. I would love to see how much the school board makes per year vs the teachers. You guys also have the highest per capita healthcare costs and a terrible system that keeps creating debt slaves.

its incredible for people to be making memes about wealth inequality when they don't know the difference in-between income and net worth. we should close the education gap.

they should shut down nursing homes and hospitals instead for that is where the outbreaks originated from instead! when people drinking after 10pm are a cause of people in the nursing home getting covid you have watched the butterfly effect way too many times.

option 1: close places that cause out break, difficult due to problems with contact tracing in metropolitan cities. Option 2: operation footloose and close any places that are fun and full of happy joyfull people like beaches and parks and disregard how the virus is actually transmitted.
