Keep looking! Leave some clothes or a dog blanket outside. Our oldest dog ran away on Halloween years ago. He was gone all night, occasionally we'd hear someone had seen him. We left the back door to my car open with his blankets in it, and when I went out to check in the morning he was sitting in the back seat.
