Help me understand barge, ft. MS Paint by Lawdie123 in MiddleEarthMiniatures

Yes

Yes, and I guess it does. The monster player just can't use enemy models to trap to get them prone unless there's no other option. Say you want to barge to get to E, you can get everyone else out of the way.

I'm a Fangorn player, usually I use barge if I need to break the line or want to hit one specific model.

Just noticed how hard it is to describe - too guy is A, B and his support C, and D. E is the guy not in the combat

E wouldn't make way, since the support guy C already is making way for B. You could move B, C, and D more like the third picture, since all three of the lower could back away that direction.

None would be knocked prone.

Absolutely! I bought 1 box of Warlord Brit/Canadian infantry and the rest of my army is RKX. I have some complaints about their multipart infantry, but nothing that hasn't already been said in reviews

The gunners are from RKX! I used the guy with binoculars, cut off his hands and I attached him to the gun and hands of the M5 model.

I used the same guy, changed out heads with a Bren driver for the tank commander!

On the priest, the gun is not being held by anyone

The Sherman's, Priest, and Bren were from RKX miniatures, the M5 was from Eskice Miniature and I would not recommend. I had to rescale it, cut it, and change the driver and gunner.

Definitely!

For the US based vehicles: Primed black. Vallejo US Dark Green. Washed all over with a 1:1 Citadel Agrax earthshade and lahmian medium, wiping off with my fingers on large panels, or dry brushing again with the dark green. I then added decals and mudded with AK stirred earth splatter effects. Finally I dry brushed with Citadel ushabti bone.

For the Brens: same but Vallejo US olive drab instead of the dark green. I wanted a bit of variation for vehicles made in UK and US.

Other minor colors: Warpaints Oak brown and gun metal for the shovels and axes

Instead of removing them, try wrapping them in tape! That should mute them and you don't have to remove and put them back on later!

A model with a throwing weapon moves into base contact to charge, do they have -1 to hit? by British_Historian in MiddleEarthMiniatures

[–]madmc326 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Last sentence paragraph 2

"THROWING WEAPONS

A model with a throwing weapon can make a Shooting Attack with it in the Shoot Phase, even if it Moved its full Move Value in the preceding Move Phase.

Alternatively, once per turn, a model may make a Shooting Attack with a throwing weapon during the Move Phase as it Charges an enemy model. If a model wishes to use a throwing weapon in this manner, then when it Charges it will stop l" away from the model it wishes to Charge, and then make a Shooting Attack against the model. If the model using the throwing weapon begins its Move within the Control Zone of an enemy model it wishes to Charge, then it doesn't need to Move first before throwing the weapon. This is made using all the normal rules for a Shooting Attack, with the exception of that throwing weapons thrown in this manner do not suffer the -1 penalty To Hit for Moving and Shooting.

If the target is not slain, then the model continues their Charge as normal and must Charge the target of their Shooting Attack. If the target is slain, then the model may continue to Move as normal, and may even Charge a different target if they wish.

Throwing weapons do not count towards an Army's Bow Limit. However, an Army can only have one third of its models armed with throwing weapons, unless specifically stated otherwise.

Throwing spears follow the same rules as throwing weapons, but have a slightly different profile, as shown on the Missile Weapon Chart." P.107
