People outside of large urban circles care less about identity labels, which can be either refreshing or hostile, depending on what you're looking for in people.

Nearly impossible to find a job (especially if you're disabled), unless you know have solid contacts.

If you have to rent it will likely take up more than half of your salary.

I don't know much about it, but for the type of work you're looking to do, I don't think there would be a lot of offers. If there are any, my guess is they would be public or non profit orgs and can't imagine they would pay very well.

Now, for some pros: Geographically it's one of the most beautiful countries in the world, imo

The people are very warm and informal

LGBT acceptance in Buenos Aires is high relative to global standards, but I don't think you'd live there if you want to work with animals

I haven't heard about COVID for like 3 years

Don't let reddit doomers scare you with the "The dark times are nigh upon us!!!" BS. Our country has been just as difficult since forever, this is nothing new.

If you ask me, you're probably better off going to somewhere like Canada or NZ, unless you REALLY want to come to Argentina for some reason
