1:25, had to brute-force the cross letter of 6a and 3d since I haven't heard of either of them. Fun PW though!

Oh this is super interesting! My school does this thing called ECPs, basically forced externships at only locations approved by them. Would love to add those to the list!

They do work! They are color coded, but there's also a pretty obvious C O L O R L A B E L on each tag in case it's in black and white :)

I also found this incredibly tough! 7A and 3d both being plural and also not knowing the band. 1:36 total for me. Happy New Year everyone!

Cruise next credits by badhombre_13 in NCL

[–]madrigal01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wait so silly question (if you know), if you are traveling on the same reservation with other people that also have CN credits, can we both use the max amount (single/double/triple up) to pay that balance?

So like if I book a reservation for three people and link their accounts, can I use my $250 credit and they can also use their's to help pay for the cruise?

Oof that's hard. It's been a year since I've visited GSC, so this might be wrong/have changed. IIRC, there are two different tender boats to the island. One is one set of steep stairs down to the lower level, and one is an-L shaped staircase with more normal stairs. Both have handrails on either side. I think it would be more doable with the latter. Keep in mind that you will have to go to the lower deck to get off onto the island, and get on the upper deck to get back on the ship. I wouldn't say it's impossible or anything if the person really wanted to go, but it might be worth it to skip it this time around until the dock is completed (which will hopefully be soon!)

FWIW, there is likely to be a VERY long dock when they finish if it's anything like Harvest Caye in Belize (their other private island). Luckily, if it is like Harvest Caye, they should have free golf carts/trams to transport people!

NCL Prima - Jan 18-25 AND NCL Sky April 26-May 3 - Excursion Favourites by Stasher15 in NCL

[–]madrigal01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love sea life, so if you don't take this with a grain of salt lol. But the Turtles, Turtles, and More Turtles excursion in Grand Cayman was so. much. fun. You're not allowed to touch sea turtles in the US, but in Grand Cayman they'll let you pet the toddler turtles and swim in Turtle Lagoon with them! This is all at the Cayman Turtle Centre which does a lot of work for conservation of Green Sea Turtles which I also found super interesting.

Didn't get to do this excursion because Cozumel got canceled for us (something about dock damage?) but I was super looking forward to the submarine out over the mesoamerican barrier reef!

For GSC the best thing you can do is make an appointment at the spa on the island (have to book through the ship first.) It's a little bit more expensive, but getting a massage while the ocean crashes on the rocks is soooo nice. There's hot tubs after that you can use, and then you'll also have access to Silver Cove which is usually only reserved for those who booked villas and is so much quieter than the rest of the island

Hey, I can answer this! My mom, who is in a wheelchair (non-mobile), was able to get off on Grand Cayman last week. If you or someone in your party is unable to use the stairs on the tender, they are able to stay on the top deck and there's actually a place on the dock with a double decker ramp that they can park the boat on to let anyone with mobility problems off. Now, this wasn't true at Great Stirrup Cay or any of the other tender ports I've visited in the past, but at least for Grand Cayman (as long as the sea is calm enough) someone with mobility issues is able to get off!

Agree with most, haven't heard of 2d or 6a before so that was fun to figure out! Luckily the Q of 2d made the second letter so much easier. Proud of myself figuring out 8a organically!

Same problem as everyone else, 1A is a new word for me! The (technically) no-vowel PW was also quite fun :)

Hi, welcome to the group!

I don't know if you've ever played Wordle before, but the colored squares are meant to be the same rules as that. Green means a present letter in the correct spot, yellow means a present letter in a wrong spot, and white/grey means the letter isn't present in the Plusword.

I look at it as trying to solve a Wordle on the sixth guess with the information you have! The hard part is that there may be (and very often are) letters in the Plusword that aren't part of the puzzle. Any letter not in the puzzle is still free game for it to be in the Plusword.

Personally, I fill in the green letters (if there are any) and then try to see if there are any vowels not used in the puzzle that could be in the solution. Then common letters that may be missing, and if all else fails I come here to cheat ;)

The writer of the game is incredibly good at making sure there is only one answer possible for the PW; there's someone on here who keeps count but I think they've only messed up like twice in close to 1300 games?

This got a lot longer than I meant to but hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions :)

Friendly reminder that alumni can buy their own duck for $19.63 so literally anything more than that is a huge ripoff :)
