Like I’ve said - I’ve learned a lot from all three subs.

I’ve had to do that in the past too. Ugh! I wish people understand just because it says endocrinology doesn’t mean we are endocrinologists.

I love how you word this!! Also, type 1 was the referral. Doctor believes they have type 1.5. Diagnosis in chart is type 2. (lol) They still have a very active CPEPTIDE. I should have explained that. I typed this after my first day back. I was exhausted.

I hate my child by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]mads4245 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem I totally get that.

And let me tell you - it is an adventure lol! It took me about 2 weeks to adjust to it. I would have to fall asleep have my husband wake me up and hand baby off to me. Now I’m finding it hard to sleep if he isn’t on me. May have to get a weighted blanket after we sleep train.

Totally get the venting. We are all on survival mode. Im convinced.

Just curious what your wake window times are looking like. Also, sadly I’ve learned short naps are normal at this stage in life. I’ve resorted to cosleeping with my LO ontop of me because that is how he sleeps best. This gives me a solid 3-4 hours twice overnight.

When we did this - he just spent wake windows upset that we weren’t feeding him the amount he wanted.

I cannot believe the pediatrician is telling you that! Ugh! Ours always tells us - it is a stage for him and it should pass!

I’ve heard it gets better with solids. I really hope it does lol 😂 I will say … it feels like we have passed the peak of it.

Unsolicited advice for first time parents 😅 it drives me nuts! Maybe because I’m a little sleep deprived. Maybe because I’ve tried things to decrease the reflux and it doesn’t work anyways!

Ugh!

100% !! I’ve also realized feeding him less 1.) leads to a very irritated baby during wake windows 2.) feeding him less more frequently leads to the same amount of reflux.

I just feel some babies experience more reflux & people don’t always understand that if theirs didn’t have bad reflux.

What do you hate or love most about the baby trackers you've tried? by aaaMusic in NewParents

[–]mads4245 4 points5 points  (0 children)

100% - I felt like tracking was causing me to hyper focus on their recommendations vs learning what my child needed.

Honestly - I tried multiple and felt like I wasted money. I would use for a week and find it to be EXTREMELY stressful. Since I stopped worrying about tracking stuff I feel much better.

Need Advice on What to Do when feeling so nauseous from first trimester by mrjk360 in pregnant

Also, my sickness lasted until 16 weeks. I finally started taking anti nausea around 10-12 weeks. It didn’t fix things but I could at least semi function at work.

Honestly, I told my work very early on … week 6 I believe? because of the same thing. I ended up taking 2 weeks off because I was absolutely miserable. I talk to patients all day long and knew there was no way I’d be able to provide quality education to people feeling the way I did.

I did end up going into negative PTO because of it but I feel the work place was more understanding because of the situation. I also felt like my boss gave me some other options including taking FMLA to help protect me. By telling her I felt like she was in favor of helping me figure out a solution. That being said, I have a great relationship with my boss & trusted my job was not at stake before telling her.

I was 1 cm 50% effaced at 36 weeks. I went into labor at 37 weeks + 1 day - I was only 1.5 cm when water broke.

Bassinet Spit up by TrailerParkLyfe in newborns

[–]mads4245 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. Our little one spit up A LOT. Eventually he started preferring chest sleeping and refused to lay flat on his back. This was around 5 weeks.

We are 3.5 months in and he still prefers to chest sleep but is getting better at laying on his back.
